Analogue Illustration:
Folketoner, 2021
The music project “Helisir“ commissioned me this illustration for their album “Folketoner”.
They wanted a specific idea of a fairy-like forest with certain kinds of mushrooms, like Amanitas and Chantarelles, with a particular colour pallette.
Mushrooms Kalmar´s
by Maureen Goecke
When I moved to Sweden, I was fascinated by the nature surrounding my neighbourhood. During the month of October 2021, I did my own personal challenge of painting one mushroom per day from my forest walks. I ended up with this collection, which during the following year I scanned and turned it into a poster of Kalmar’s mushrooms.

Adventskalender, 2022
This project was commissioned to me by a client that had a very specific idea on mind. She wanted to recreate a family treasure, an adventskalender she had when she was little but lost during a fire. She described her vision of how the structure and the images should be on it. For example, she wanted a representation of Chile’s Lake Region flora and fauna on one of the panels.
The design was delivered in a digital format that the client could print by herself and give to her relatives.
“We are united, we are not at war” 2019
18th of October of 2019, a Social Outbreak occured in Chile. After a series of the biggest protests that the country have ever witnessed, the president of the nation declared that “We are at War.”
While many artists where focusing their attention to the violence perpetuated against the protesters, I wanted to focus around the idea of unity that could be seen between the people that were on the streets protesting for their basic human rights.
In 2020, my illustration was selected among others to be part of the book “18.10: Visual Reflection of the Social Outbreak in Chile“ of the Nauta Colecciones editorial. The free download link of its digital version can be found at:

Memento Mori, 2013
This book was the product of a series of interviews to people who worked around the concept of Death like nurses, undertakers, grave sellers, pathological anatomy doctors and lawyers. The short stories where inspired by their experiences. After writing the book, I also did the illustrations, editorial and graphic design work. It can be found (in Spanish) on the Issuu platform at:

Digital Illustration:
Min Klimatönskan, 2022
This postcard was commissioned by Kalmar Klimataktion to become an interactive performance for the Climate Global Strike of March 2022, in Kalmar. These postcards were printed and distributed among the attendants to the demonstration in Larmtorget, where they could write down their Climate Desires for the municipality and then be put in a box, where the collected would be sent to the local politicians, considering that that was an elections year.
Stitch Togehter, 2022
It was a project that researches the stereotype of women and gender in the textile production tradition. After interviewing crafters from different parts of the world, I collected some of their stories through illustrations and quotes that would intertwine as a weft. The idea was to create a potential community on social platforms they already use, like Instagram, to share their experiences and create a reflection upon the prejudices around this subject.
My Sweaters, 2022
It was an exercise to reflect on Infographics and different ways to represent information. I am very interested in textile productions and wanted to portray how my own personal history of home made clothes (almost entirely by women) has influenced my way to relate to fast fashion. In this example, 75% percent of my sweaters were homemade.
Interaction Design:
Araby Vårdkarta, 2023
This project was a group work along with Tina Karlsson, Lily Van Der Werf and Anna Struve. It was also a collaboration with different stakeholders from the health agencies of Araby area, Kronobergs region, Röda Korset and Verklighetslabbet. The question was: How can we through design help to improve the navigation of the people of Araby through the Swedish Healthcare system. For that, we proposed the design of a map, one for prevention issues like healthy habits and the other as an action plan for people when in need of health care, to recognize the different institutions in their area and the procedure of how to contact them. This map could work as a widget in the stakeholder’s website, as an interactive screen on community centers, as a poster or as a brochure. It also has promotional animations that can be displayed on social media or public spaces like bus screens.
You can see the outcome by scanning the QR code.
Kalmar Connect, 2022
This is a prototype for an app created in group along with Tina Karlsson and Anna Struve. The concept of this app was born in collaboration with Kalmar Kommun, exploring ways to increase the resilience of the city around the climate crisis. Among other things, the app enable citizens to share their concerns on the forum and create calls to action, keeping a strong comunication with the authorities and the political actors. At the same time, authorities can spread information through the Resources area and keep the public updates in the News area. This allows a fast and easy access to truthful information and at the same time reinforcing horizontal communication. You can learn more about the app in the next video:

Animation:
Buy the Latest Skin, 2022
This animation is a stop motion short film, created along with Carolina Nolasco and Naomi Pap. It portrays a world where clothes behave as humans instead while human skin has been relegated to the condition of “clothes”. The aim of this film is to use shock to reflect on the ways fast fashion diminishes the humanity of manufacturers’ workers who put everything they have, even their lives, to sustain a system of consumption that never ends. The target of this animation is the consumers that do not hold in mind the uncomfortable truths behind what they’re wearing. We imagine that a potential sender could be an institution such as Fashion Revolution.
