Twoface Feline

You’ve probably heard of Two-Face in Batman. But you would have never imagined there’s an honestto-goodness real deal! Well, meet Janus, your twoface cat. Here’s one instance when being two-faced isn’t a bad thing, especially when it lands you in the Guinness records for defying death.

Is this funny or iconic? Aptly called a Janus Cat, pertaining to the Roman god with two faces -- he’s back in the news today, thanks to an Associated Press pickup of a Worcester Telegram & Gazette feature on this amazing feline Regardless, this cat will always be a great story.

Frank and Louie is one cool cat, born in Massachusetts 12 years ago with separate faces and given little chance of surviving beyond a few hours. That’s what they said back then. But look at him now!

Ants!

Fantastic

Andrey Pavlov, a Russian photographer with commendable theatrical background chose a unique way of storytelling combining both the media. He devotedly studied the lives of ants, and planted histrionic props on their trails. There he photographed them live as if in a drama or movie. Except for the planned stage settings, all the rest is natural; no photo editing gimmicks involved, vouches the photographer.

Come see the great moments of simple joviality, grant imagination, poignancy, and even some sublime philosophising.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

The daughter replied, “Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom”. They kissed and the daughter left. You could see the mother wanted and needed to cry. The person nearest her tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed it by asking, “Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?”. Yes, I have,” the man replied. “Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?”. “I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - her next trip back will be for my funeral,” she said. “When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, ‘I wish you enough’. May I ask what that means?”. She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. “When we said , ‘I wish you enough’, we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them”. Then turning toward the man, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye. e all want to keep our children safe and secure and help them live to their full potential. Knowing how to prevent leading causes of child injury, like poisoning, is a step toward this goal. Every day, children all over the world ages 0 to 19 are treated in an emergency department, and two children die, as a result of being poisoned. It’s not just chemicals in your home marked with clear warning labels that can be dangerous to children. Everyday items in your home, such as household cleaners and medicines, can be poisonous to children as well. Active, curious children will often investigate— and sometimes try to eat or drink—anything that’s left out and within their reach.

e h T y t i l a e R

Thankfully, there are ways you can help poison-proof your home and protect the children you love.

Prevention Tips

Lock them up. Keep medicines and toxic products, such cleaning solutions, in locked or childproof cabinets. Read the label. Follow label directions and read all warnings when giving medicines to children. Don’t keep it if you don’t need it. Safely dispose of unused, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs. Be aware that if you dispose of unused medicines, they can be mixed with coffee grounds or kitty litter to make them less appealing to children.

A RAINBOW at the palm of your hand.

This book started as a personal project of MASASHI KAWAMURA in summer 2007, and was soon published from a Japanese bookstore “Utrecht”. It’s a flipbook, but rather than seeing animation, it creates a 3D rainbow in your hand. Since being published it has been featured on Japanese TV, Newspapers, major news & blogsites like yahoo news, coolhunting and fffffound. This book won the NY ADC silver cube.

A new concept flip book that will create a 3D rainbow instead of an animation. Really cool! You can buy it online from several selected book stores, Utrecht(JPN) http://www.utrecht.jp/person/?p=316, Stereohype(UK) http://bit.ly/2tCzR6, Printed Matter(US) http://bit.ly/925cPH. The 36-page book has an image of the color spectrum against a black background on each page, creating the illusion of an arced rainbow hovering above the pages as the pages flip by. If you are resourceful enough, heck, you can make one of your own.

Ways to Reduce the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

esearch conducted in 52 countries reveals several controllable risk factors attribute to 90% of all heart attacks. Previously, it was believed only half of the heart attacks were caused by factors such as smoking and cholesterol. Today, most heart attacks can be pinpointed to one or more of the risk factors mentioned below. These factors are neither gender specific nor related to a particular ethnic group.

1. Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle Smoking changes the viscosity of blood. This can potentially lead to clumping in the blood vessels that supply the heart. A study states that smoking inhibits vitamin and mineral uptake, depletes levels of vitamin C, and creates a toxic internal environment. Giving up smoking can help avoid cancer and lower the risk of heart disease. Vitamin C is a highly effective antioxidant; it protects molecules in the body from damage

2. Watch Cholesterol Intake It is important to not only control your cholesterol, but to decrease fat intake when faced with the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and other disorders caused by fatty depos-

LIKE T its of plaque in the artery walls. “Bad” saturated fats (butter, cheese, red meat, fast foods) increases your blood cholesterol. The body has its own daily quota for cholesterol production.

3. Control High Blood Pressure It is found that half of all people who suffer a first-time heart attack and two-thirds of first-time stroke victims, had moderate to high blood pressure. If left untreated, high blood pressure can increase the risk of atherosclerosis, aneurysms, loss of vision, and kidney failure. Normal blood pressure is considered to be 120/80. Experts have advocated eating less salt as a way of controlling blood pressure plus mineral-rich foods and herbs like folic acid, and branched chain amino acids are known to naturally help control blood pressure.

Too bad, it won’t work for us!

If we want to keep fit, we have to do “actual” exercise. However, everybody’s busy these days. Your life and time constraints likely won’t change, but by utilizing just five free minutes several times a day (and don’t even think about denying they’re there) for some simple exercises, you’ll not only improve your physical condition for the future but will energize your body continually during the day.
