Leadership team spreads joy in Singapore

Cummins Corporate Responsibility and Community Involvement teams were pleased to host the Asia Pacific Leadership Team for an ‘Every Employee, Every Community’ (EEEC) event in Singapore.

The early September event was coordinated in partnership with the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD), a charity supporting people with physical, sensory and developmental disabilities of all ages. Spending the day with the elderly from SPD, the Cummins teams engaged in lively games of bingo, followed by some relaxing on-chair tai chi.

EEEC events aim to bring Cummins communities together by giving back, spreading joy and fostering community spirit. The event ended with Peter Jensen-Muir, Jason Chong and Sowmya Chaturvedi announcing that Cummins will sponsor a new speaker system for the charity.

It was fun and games when Cummins team members spent a day with Singaporean charity SPD.

A legendary win for Steve Micallef

Steve Micallef, Sales Executive for Off-highway, was awarded the Legendary Sales Award for Q2 of 2022.

The Legendary Sales Award is a global, cross-business unit recognition for top sales professionals. Legendary Sales Awards are announced quarterly and Sales Excellence Club winners are chosen annually. Steve was recognised for his teamwork, dedication, crossfunctional collaboration and exceptional leadership skills that demonstrate his commitment to delivering high-impact performance. Asked how he felt about the award, Steve said the achievement was unexpected. “I am just doing my job, which is to ensure both customers and Cummins mutually benefit from our business transactions,” he said.

“For select customers where I am the Account Manager, I like to ensure all parts of our business groups meet face to face, along with scheduled meetings, so we understand the customers’ needs and requirements and help our customers understand our processes.” The program aims to motivate sales professionals through recognition of excellent performance and top achievements, driving internal awareness for top sales performance across regions and business units. Congratulations Steve.
