Cummins awarded an Enabling Mark
Cummins Asia Pacific was awarded an Enabling Mark Award (Silver) by SG Enable at its 2023 Enabling Mark Awards Ceremony.
SG Enable is a focal agency for disability and inclusion in Singapore, enabling people with disabilities to live, learn, work and play in an inclusive society. The Enabling Mark is a national-level accreditation framework whereby the agency benchmarks and recognises organisations for best practices and outcomes in disability-inclusive employment.

Organisations are evaluated in five categories: leadership culture and climate; recruitment practices; workplace accessibility and accommodation; community engagement and promotion; and employment practices.
This year celebrates SG Enable’s tenth year in operation, with its anniversary dinner held in conjunction with the ceremony. Sowmya Chaturvedi, Director of Supply Chain, and Po Reen Tan, Customer Order Management Manager, represented Cummins Asia Pacific to receive the award in person.

Sowmya and Po Reen attribute the achievement to the many team members who help shape Cummins into an inclusive workplace, in particular, the hiring managers and mentors involved in the partnership with SG Enable.
Hiring managers: Matthew Tan, Peter Yin, Megan Skwierawski and Jane Tan
Mentors: Claire Mirabel, Alvin Ng, Sunila Mandavagne and Rebecca Ng
Joyce Chen, DEI Leader for Asia Pacific, was also credited for her involvement in the Singapore office’s refurbishment to make it more accessible and inclusive.

The Cummins Singapore Corporate Responsibility team partnered with SG Enable on the Attach and Train program, giving people with disabilities on-the-job and structured training for a year.
The partnership strengthens Cummins’ commitment and our leadership’s accountability to DEI through close interactions with people with disabilities, mitigating bias and ensuring equitable acquisition and advancement of all talent.
