Adventure lovers can spend a day exploring the scenic Panhala Fort or the Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy family time with a fun outing at the serene Rankala Lake or at Amba Ghat, a picturesque mountain pass near Kolhapur.
Kolhapur is most famous for the eponymous Kolhapuri chappals (traditional handcrafted leather footwear) that have a GI tag. The city is also a hub for unique local jewellery, a special necklace called Kolhapuri saaj and the spicy Kolhapuri masala (spices).
