How Might We?
Who Are We?
Kith & Kin’s Mission
Create an environment that cultivates human interaction and stimulates conversational exchanges between the local community and traveler?
We are a creators haven and social hub curating conversations, inspiring makers, and exploring of the process and medium of weaving through dialogical art.
Through the synthesis of dialogical art (dialogue based arts practice) we connect local community members to travelers through the practice of creating & making.
+
We are not just a nights stay, but an all encompassing experience. We challenge the current traveler’s experience by blending the line between the local community and traveler through our flexible MAKE Studios and versatile communal creating environments.
Art Through Conversation As a functioning pneumatic system, Synthesis’ core purpose is to connect users through verbal and physical connection with each use. Diagram showing the main docking station and 3 kiosks.

Chef Nancy Silverton & baker Miche Bacher team together to create unique hand crafted creations with inspiration from the Mediterranean sea.
Their playfulness with flavors induce a whirlwind of senses that include different and familiar foods with an added twist.

Take a second glance. New experiences and details are revealed through light, materials, angles and reflections. The Sun Room boasts a wall fountain that makes customers feel as if there is no barrier to the exterior world. Below: Diagram and elevations of the atrium lit Sun Room with “caged” booths. Experience the enclosed dining booths during the day and night for a different atmospheric experience.
For the luxurious bar, I divided the space with a semi transparent “wall” made of hanging brass pendant lights. This visual barrier of lights create this illusion of space separation without completely blocking the view and adds to the mystery of what is beyond it in the distance.

D E E P NA T UR E CO S ME TI CS INTL. Concept Retail Design Winning Rendering | Fall 2017 During my study abroad in Stuttgart, Germany, we got the opportunity to design for an upcoming cosmetic extension for Deep Nature, a spa and wellness company. Inspiration of a geode came to mind with its natural state revealing a rough exterior with a smooth and refined interior. Meet Deep Nature’s flagship store where users can interact and experiment before buying the product and experience Earth’s purist, enriching minerals.
20
Including interactive technology allows customers to further explore the ingredients that make up their products. This large scale monitor could easily translate to an online web page or App.

Entry A glowing geode ribbon wall illuminates the space and immediately captures shoppers’ attention before entering the space. Day or night, this unique feature draws in those passing by.
22
Simple raw materials compose the space, keeping it consistent with the brand’s color scheme and packaging.
The Mixing Bar Test out and feel the products before purchasing. The Mixing Bar allows users to make their own creation and adjust the consistency before buying. A ‘create your own’ experience leaves a longer lasting impression versus the act of buying something off the shelf.

Pop Up Retail Design MKG Design | Summer 2017
Boll & Branch is an ethical luxury bedding store that offers more than just linens. They base their brand on transparency, and maintaining fairness, without compromising great quality. Keeping these principles in mind, we helped create a pop up shop so customers could feel the softness of the sheets and connect with the growing brand.
32
Custom adjustable shelving and easily changeable signage was ideal for the space and brand. We printed brand info on a canvas cloth to mimic hanging sheets. We repurposed existing shelving by turning them into lifestyle vignettes showcasing Boll & Branch’s most current must haves.
33
From start to finish, Boll & Branch wanted to do two refreshes in the store. We had to make the store versatile and flexible in order to grow with their needs. The iPad bar (right image) has a removable wooden block that reveals a cash wrap complete with power when they want to start a formal checkout system. Overall the entire store is meant to grow with the brand with its expanding inventory and customer base. (Store images courtesy of Architectural Digest)

(Above) Gallery wall with story telling elements for Boll & Branches’ back story. From left to right: Storefront of the vertical peg board bed we designed. Items in the night stands and floor can easily be replaced with seasonal items. Central area with interactive farmhouse table,‘what is thread count?’ wall and custom cotton branch chandelier. Aspirational bed display. Sheets are hung like drying linens from twisted pieces of cotton threads.

WAL T D I S N E Y I MAGI NE E R I NG INTL. Themed Entertainment 2018 - 2020 Because of the sensitive nature of these projects, I can only share what has been released to the public. The following shared are in progress.
My main project duties were for the expansion of Disneyland Paris. Included within this expansion is the town of Arendelle from the movie Frozen. 3D modeling in Revit, Photoshop & Enscape rendering, graphics design in Illustrator, materials and finish selection, package presentation, and Excel documentation. I also helped with the new land of Zootopia for Shanghai Disneyland doing photoshop renders and color studies.

This custom carpet is successfully installed at The Crystal Palace in Walt Disney World. We created a youthful pattern that livens up the space and compliments the building’s architecture. Hints of Victorian scroll work can be found playfully mixed in with the printed plants, complimenting live vibrant ones scattered throughout the space.
Renders for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a unique and immersive overnight experience, coming to Walt Disney World, in Orlando, FL.
Photoshop rendering, material + finish selection, and 3D modeling in Revit were some of the responsibilities I had. It was such an interesting and creative role to take on due to the universe it is set in.

SUM M I T
Recreation Complex University of Cincinnati | Fall 2015 Summit is an athletic center where those in the Cincinnati region can achieve their goals both mentally and physically. With a three story rock wall on the interior with a mimicking mountain facade exterior, Summit is the ideal place to push personal limits and get in shape. The idea of cutting the corner is how I found the shape of Summit. By placing several different versions of the corner together, it produced an angular cluster form that went along my theme of climbing to physical and mental fitness. The concept of the ribbon window is found on the side of the building as the mountain’s “stream” as it flows down the multi-storied facade.
