Cherry Sharing

It was a cold Valentine’s Day. Lia was at home listening to the radio. She heard about a beautiful castle in a faraway land. No one had ever reached it because it was hiding in a secret place. The man on the radio said that there were many challenges to reach it.

Lia made up her mind. “I am definitely going to find the castle!” She told herself. She packed her things and went. Lia left a note for her Mom telling her she had gone to the castle. “Don’t worry, I will be safe.” She wrote.

After many long hours, Lia finally got to the Thick Seaweed Lake. “Wow, look at the new shiny brown boat!” “I bet someone left it for me.” Lia said. “Oh, that’s so cool!” she screeched.

Lia began to row the boat across the lake. Suddenly, the seaweed wrapped around the oars. The seaweed pulled the oars as she kept rowing. Lia rowed with all of her strength, and finally, she reached the other side.

Lia walked away from the lake, and in front of her she saw a narrow path that guided her into the rainforest. She heard birds chirping, monkeys howling, and WHAT?... Crying? So the crying took her to the cave.

“What’s wrong? Do you want to come with me?” asked Lia. “Thank you,” uttered the girl. “My name is Lia,” responded Lia. “My name is Cloe,” uttered the girl.

Lia asked Cloe to go with her to the castle

Cloe and Lia finally got to the castle. It was so beautiful! “Let’s go in!” The girls said. “Hello Princess!” “Do you want to see the castle?” asked the lady that cleaned the castle. “Oh this is so nice!” “Thank you!” Said both girls. “I am so happy to be here with you Lia,” said Cloe. “I am much happier because I came here with you.” said Lia.
