HOW TO SPEND THE DAY WITH YOUR FATHER?

How the day needs spending depends on your relationship with your father. Most people enjoy a relationship full of emotions and trust, compassion & benevolence. However, for some, father’s day may be a day of sorrow, be it through death or being part of a broken family.

The best way to celebrate the day is obviously to make your father feel highly appreciated & valued. It is the day you want to tell your father how much you appreciate and love him. Tell your father how much you appreciate all the things he has given you. Give him your special Father’s Day card or something in writing attached with a childhood picture to make it more emotional & more intense. You must appreciate the intensity of the relationship & how to make the relationship more strong in the form of emotional bonds.

Have family time with your father in the form of a family dinner. Plan a family outing after having discussions with your dad & choose something that everyone, at any age, can take part in. This shall obviously give your father plenty of memories and also the stories to bring up at later family gatherings. What else he needs from you is just being there for him rather than ignoring the day.

Find a meaningful gift for your father. An emotional gift will surely demonstrate your emotions with your father. It is something he will cherish in his memories as a father’s day gift needs to be more memorable. The gift must hold the emotions that you have for your father since the first day you walked with him while holding his hand.
