August Newsletter MCC 2024

Dear MCC Members,

Last month at this time, I had an excellent candidate for the club’s Director of Racquets

After several meetings with the candidate with me and the tennis staff, I made an offer, after two weeks without a response, I concluded he was not interested I was right He finally reached out after deciding he wasn’t up for the job Sad to say, but we continue on Thank you for your patience even though, understandably, I know it is running thin

If you need anything in the interim, please reach out to Hannia, Jackie, or Jeremiah; they are here to help

Regarding our Strategic Plan, the Board and a sub-committee worked with help from Club Benchmarking to update the club’s founding philosophies:

VISION STATEMENT

To set the standard for excellence that creates exceptional experiences for our members

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a vibrant, exclusive country club with superior amenities and services that creates lifelong memories

CORE VALUES

Superb Membership Experience

We are committed to delivering the highest quality service, striving for excellence in all that we do, and leading to memorable Member experiences across all areas of the Club

Transparent Governance

Genuine Hospitality

BRAND

To build on our legacy by providing an extraordinary lifestyle for our members

These concepts form a foundation that helps with all decision making. If ideas, plans, or goals contradict, we don’t move forward.

A huge thank you to those who dedicated their time and perspective to such a worthwhile plan

Are you interested in serving on a committee? Please let me know as we are always looking for good volunteer members to help advise both management and the board Please know that service on the board is always preceded by committee service

Lastly, we continue with a full membership with a short waitlist As I have stated many times: what a great time to be a member of McAllen Country Club

With that, I look forward to seeing you around your club,

Dear Members,

This month, we’re introducing a new menu that makes our Josper Charcoal Oven the focal point This artisanal masterpiece accentuates the best in our premium prime steak cuts, which you can pair with various à la carte sides and sauces, not to mention our wine

In addition to our steak offerings, we are extending our dinner features for the entire month This change allows you to experience a range of seasonal, classic, and trending dishes Also, I want to remind everyone of our featured dishes at the RAC Cafe, available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These dishes can be fun and playful as much as they are delicious. Look for our posting on Clubster for the next new items.

Our brunch buffet also has a wonderful new addition a crepe station The positive feedback has been tremendous, and we’re expanding the selection to include more sweet and savory crepe options

We look forward to you trying these new experiences,
