Nature Discovery Camps

The half - day camps are led by naturalists who will share their knowledge of science, nature and animals. Indoor and outdoor adventure, games, art & exploration are offered.

Nature Art & Artists
Ages 5 - 8
Young artists will have loads of fun creating personalized projects (nature crafts, upcycle art, sculpting and painting). The focus will be on developing creative confidence and an appreciation of the natural world.
Grow with the Flow
Ages 5 - 8
Explore everything from yoga to storytelling, art, journaling, healthy snack recipes and nutrition. Engaging mindful activities include peace, respect, gratitude, and confidence.
Wonders of Wildlife
Ages 5 - 8
Take a deeper look into the life and environment of plants and animals! Meet bugs, reptiles, and amphibians up close. Learn how to find and identify native plants and how people and animals use plants every day.
Wildlife Scientist
Ages 5 - 8
Become a young scientist! Become an expert on plants and animals and identify them right in your own backyard or neighborhood. Kids will create science experiments using things we find in nature. Session 4: June 28 - July 1 #263004.50 Session 8: July 26 - 29 #263004.54
Junior Botanists
Ages 9 - 13

Camp TALON
Teen Adventures Learning Ornithology & NatureAges 9 - 13 Campers will enjoy an immersive trek through the Thornforest applying what they learned in an interactive classroom setting. Cool birding tools, techniques and upcycled crafts will be a few of the activities.
Naturalist Academy
Ages 9 - 13
Campers will learn the ways naturalists look at and learn about the natural world, from using binoculars to nature journaling and beyond. Campers will search for insects, birds, other wildlife and build leadership skills! Session 3: June 21 - 24 #263004.57 Session 7: July 19 - 22 #263004.61

Kids of all ages will enjoy a variety of activities that include live creature visits, art and craft activities, special short nature presentations, a microscope station, ecosystem models, and much more.

Join us for a special mothing event to kick off National Moth week! We’ll have black light stations set up in our forest and gardens to look attract these nocturnal beauties and more!

Dragonflies and damselflies are some of our best insect predators, and are cool - looking to boot! Explore our ponds as we look for these fascinating insects.
