The 2018 edition of the Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta took place on December 26-30, 2018. This is the second largest youth sailing regatta in the world. Coral Reef Yacht Club has been hosting this event for 43 years. In 2018, more than 600 sailors participated from around the world, representing 26 countries. They competed in several classes of boats: Optimist Dinghy (Green and Red White & Blue fleets), Lasers (Full, Radial and 4.7 meter classes), and Club 420s. Sailing on Biscayne Bay, they had four days of world class competition that showcased the sport of sailing and the beauty of South Florida. The conditions were perfect, with high and low wind days, warm temperatures, and sunny blue skies. Sailors competed against some of the best in the sport, under the direction of a world-class race committee and army of volunteers. After sailing was done for the day, they had the chance to enjoy being in the waterfront neighborhood of Coconut Grove and greater Miami at the perfect time of year. We thank the sponsors who helped to make this event a great success, and look forward to next year’s regatta. We hope you enjoy this book of memories from the 2018 Orange Bowl International Regatta, featuring the photography of Matias Capizzano. Maricarmen Martinez
