Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta: December 26, 2021—December 31, 2021 The week-long event on Biscayne Bay attracted top competitors from around the world Nearly 600 sailors from twenty countries converged in Coconut Grove the last week of December 2021 for the annual Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta (OBIYR) hosted by Coral Reef Yacht Club. During four days of intense sailing, competitors aged 8-18 vied for the top spots in each of the four classes: Optimist RWB, Optimist Green, Club 420, and ILCA. The beautiful waters of Biscayne Bay proved ideal for a successful regatta. Light winds on the bay proved challenging for some sailors, while others enjoyed the milder conditions.
