Spain is located in Western Europe and North Africa. Its capital is Madrid, and its language is Spanish. The physical limits of Spain are: west, Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea to the east, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea to the south and the Pyrenees and the Cantabrico Sea to the north.Spain has Mediterranean climate relatively mild temperatures throughout the year. Each region has its typical music but the most important is Flamenco music with famous singers and dancers ( Rocio Jurado, Camarón de La Isla…). Wild animals in Spain are quite protected like Iberic lince, chameleon, tortoise, Grizzly bear because they are in extinction danger. We can practice many sports, basketball, cycling, tennis, handball, and motorsport. Today, Spain is a world power in sport achieving significant victories, in football (World and European Champion), in tennis with Rafa Nadal considered the greatest player of all time clay courts , winner of 11 titles Grand Slam. At the end the London 2012 Olympic Games, in all its participations in the Olympic Games, both summer and winter, Spain has won a total of 132 medals in 38 gold medals, 59 silver medals and 35 bronze medals. Spain celebrates every summer the Tour of Spain. Our eating habits is based on the Mediterranean diet which includes olive oil as the main ingredients, its “tapas” and the delicious desserts. Spanish drink has many varieties since wines until refreshing drinks. We invite to you to visit Spain to enjoy its beach and its white sand, for its fascinating light and sun, for its simple, hospitable and cheerful people and for their healthy habits in eating and living.
