Why do we need supplements?
To get the same amount of iron as you would have from 1 cup of spinach in 1945, you would have to eat 65 cups today. An orange that contained 50mg of Vitamin C in 1950, now contains 5mg. Why? 1) the lack of crop rotation 2) chemicals in the soil killing the good microbes.

Johnson is one of those musicians who can perform fun and inspiring music. I wasn’t entirely certain who Jack Johnson was when I started this issue. Feeling like I should after reading “Musician with a Cause” on page 24 I did some research and just hadn’t made the connection. His songs tell great stories and he is now on the cover of this month’s magazine. His commitment to the environment is just one more reason to listen. Be well in this beginning of summer. Find some joy in small things and tell someone a story to change their day.
