AIESEC IN AUSTRIA Application for Member Committee President 2016-2017
Dear applicant, u
It’s been exactly a year since I have opened this application booklet as well. I felt nervous, excited, overwhelmed and hopeful about the whole process. The process itself is long; I had to talk to a lot of people from the entity, but also to other MCPs, some members of AIESEC International and externals. I had to read a lot and understand the current context of our generation in order to dream about the ideal future. The process was long, but it was worth it. Applying for MCP is an intense learning experience. You will get something out of it regardless of the outcome. So I am inviting you to read through the booklet and the questions and challenge yourself to start learning. Start learning about the country, AIESEC in Austria, our LCs, our MC and start envisioning the future of this organization. Because the future of the organization depends on you.
u
Being MCP of AIESEC in Austria brought me a lot. It has been challenging, fun, with beautiful team moments and celebrations of small successes that we have had so far, but also acknowledging the failures that happened. And it’s only been 3 months of our term. I am looking forward to the next 9 months of my term, because I know this term has made me a better person. But what I’m looking forward to the most is living 6 out of those 9 months together with you, my dear future successor, and giving you everything that I know and what I’ve learned during my term, to help you become a better MCP as well.
u
This is truly a once in a lifetime experience and I am recommending it to anybody who is bold enough to make the biggest step in their AIESEC experience so far. Throughout the process, you know that you can count on my support and help, because if somebody knows what it feels like in the months of October, November and beginning of December – it’s me.
u
Good luck, dear candidate and I wish you an amazing learning experience in the next 30 days. Looking forward to receiving your application package!
