MESSAGE FROM OUR ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR...

My first few months here have been incredible! We have loved throwing very successful events for all of you and have loved seeing the participation go up for each one. We have a few ideas up my sleeve for 2022 events, so make sure that you keep an eye out, because they will fill up fast.

KNO: Kids' KNIGHT Out

FRIDAY, JANUARY 14th I 6:00-9:00pm Ages: 3-10 $20 (bathroom independent)

In medieval times, knights protected the kingdom. At Kids’ KNIGHT Out, we will be learning how to be a proper knight, play games fit for royalty, and keeping the kingdom safe from threats. *Dinner and snack included!

KNO : Valentine's Day Special

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11th I 6:00pm-9:00pm

Ages: 3-10

$20 (bathroom independent)

Who’s your Valentine? We will be making Valentine’

s Day mailboxes, Valentine’s treats, and other cute activities. So, whether it’s for their friend, favorite teacher, or whoever. Your kids will be prepared to give their Valentine something that’s sure to make them smile! *Dinner and snack included!

KNO: Star Wars

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25th I 6:00-9:00pm Ages: 4-10 $20 (bathroom independent)

Are you on the light side or the dark side? Send your young jedis to KNO to find out! We will decorate our very own lightsabers, enter pod races, and head to the cantina all while mastering the art of becoming a jedi. We will also have a surprise in store for the big Star War Fans! *Dinner and snack included!

KNO: HARRY POTTER

FRIDAY, JANUARY 28th I 6:00-9:00pm Ages: 4-10 $20 (bathroom independent)

Come join the magic and find out what house you’ll be in! We will make the most of the wizarding world by going to potions class, playing quidditch, and learning about all things Hogwarts. We will also let the sorting hat tell us what houses we will be placed into for our 7 years at school. *Dinner & snack included!

POLAR BEAR PLUNGE

SUNDAY, JANUARY 30 I $15 PER PERSON

Take the plunge! Come out and take part in McConnell Golf's Save the Polar Bear Plunge benefitting the World Wildlife Fund WWF)( , whose mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. For us, this jump will be a direct link to protecting the Arctic and the polar bear population by restoring the loss of sea ice habitat. On this day, all members will be jumping into the icy waters at their home club pool at the same time across three states. Make your club the leaders in giving back by having the most participants and raising the most money. After the jump, warm up with a bowl of chili and hot chocolate! Order a pint of chili to bring home with proceeds supporting WWF and the Polar Bear mission as well!

HEART HEALTHY MONTH IN FEBRUARY

Eat healthy, be heart healthy and improve your overall health! As part of McConnell Golf's company-wide initiative during the month of February, your club's culinary team will be offering a Heart Healthy Meal Package set to Feed 2, 4, 6 or 8 people. With the purchase of each meal kit, a portion of proceeds will go directly to the American Heart Association. The meal kit will include two (2) 6-ounce filets of True North Salmon, 6 ounces of Blanched Haricot Verts, 6-ounce Blanched Red Bliss Potatoes and 1 ounce Lemon Herb Compound Butter.

WEAR RED DAY IN SUPPORT OF HEART HEALTH

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4 I LOOK FOR THE RED HEARTS!

Join us on Friday, February 4 for Wear Red Day as we raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. Post a photo wearing red on social media and tag us @McConnellGolf using #WearRedandGive. We encourage you to make time to incorporate better nutrients in your meals, eat more fruits and vegetables and limit the amount of artificial trans-fat you intake.
