Keith Badorf & Sherry Sands; daughter Marie (14)

Please join us in welcoming Keith & Sherry as one of our newest families at Sedgefield! As a prior member of the club, Keith is very excited to return to see many old friends and make new ones. He is a native of Pennsylvania (go PITT!) and has lived in the Greensboro area for 30+ years. He has a beautiful daughter, Marie. Sherry is ‘Carolina born and bred’ though as an adult and until recently, she made her home in Franklin, TN. She has two grown sons and three priceless granddaughters. “As the world re-opens, we all love being able to be with our families, of course! Also, it seems only natural that we would want to be, once again doing life with our friends. Reconnecting with the old and getting to know the new. We are looking very forward to both at Sedgefield!”

In joining Sedgefield, she is looking forward to a “safe & friendly environment to spend spare time meeting new friends and professional networking. ” When not working in the accounting industry, she is learning to play golf and also enjoys modeling, acting, and traveling. At Sedgefield, she is looking forward to using the sports amenities, kids' activities, and social events. We welcome Yuliya and her family to the club!

Mark & Dr. Debbie Linville

Please join us in welcoming the Linville's to membership within Sedgefield! Mark is the CFO for Zippy Shell & 1-800-Pack-Rat, while Debbie is a retired university professor. They have two adult children; Elizabeth (36) & Andrew (34). The Linville's are looking forward to golf & dining opportunities at Sedgefield. Mark and Laurie Butterfoss

Mark and Laurie recently relocated from Millsboro in Southern Delaware, and are currently renting an apartment near the club, while searching for a place to call home. Mark is an avid golfer, and loves classic golf courses like Sedgefield, having been a member of Rolling Green Golf Club, another 1926 classic in the Philadelphia area. Laurie recently marked her 40th anniversary working for Broadridge Financial Services and is looking forward to retiring later this year and spending more time at the club and traveling. Ruddy & Damali Orozco; sons Diego (11), Jakobi (9)

The Orozco family is joining Sedgefield as they move back to the United States after an “amazing” three years in Panama where they made lifelong friends and played a ton of golf! Ruddy is in sales while Damali is the Senior Director of Human Resources for Proctor & Gamble. In joining Sedgefield, the family is looking forward to “great golf, a family-friendly environment and to making connections while settling into Greensboro smoothly, especially for the kids. ” Please join us in welcoming the Orozcos as one of our newest member families at Sedgefield. Alan & Cathy Jones; son Davis (18)

Referred to the club by David Murphy, we welcome the Jones family among our newest members! Alan is the owner of Casey’s Tire Pros & Automotive while Cathy is a dental assistant. Their daughter and son-inlaw, Haley & Jake Taylor have recently joined the club as well, and they are looking forward to making many memories with their new granddaughter Ryland! When not golfing, Alan enjoys fishing at the North Carolina coast. Please join us in welcoming the Jones family to Sedgefield!

Jake & Haley Taylor; daughter Ryland (4 months)

The Taylors reside just a short distance from the club on Groometown Road and are looking forward to using the club and being so close. Jake is a service manager in the auto repair industry while Haley is a business management consultant. While Jake is from Lake Norman, Haley is originally from Greensboro, and her parents, Alan & Cathy Jones have recently joined the club as well, and all were referred in by member David Murphy. We welcome the Taylors to Sedgefield!

Mark & Kristi Slomski; son Matthew (23)

Joining a growing trend of former members that have returned to membership within Sedgefield, we welcome the Slomskis back to the club! Originally from Sacramento, California, the family moved here 18 years ago. Mark recently retired from UPS, while Kristi is a retired teacher. In addition to their son Matthew, they also have a 25-year-old daughter, Mikayla. In rejoining Sedgefield, the Slomskis are looking forward to “getting involved with the club, meeting new people, and enjoying the amenities McConnell Golf has to offer. ” Please join us in welcoming their family back as one of our newest members!

Steve & Carla Jones; son Connor (17)

As former members and residents of Sedgefield for 20 years, the Jones are certainly not new to the club, so let’s welcome them “back” as one of our newest members! Sponsored back into membership by Carla’s father Carl Smith, the Jones are looking forward to family fun and making many memories. “Everything has been great since we rejoined in April. Food is great, family time around the pool is great, and we are enjoying our time around the golf course. ” We welcome the Jones back to Sedgefield!

As a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Listman has resided in Greensboro since 1996, moving from New Jersey. Rob & Robin Steiner; children Mackenzie (18), Sarah Grace (15), Benjamin (10) & Mattea (8)

The Steiner family recently moved to Sedgefield from nearby Randleman to trade the country lifestyle for convenience. Rob is President of Coilplus, Inc. while Robin operates their three self-storage facilities. While the oldest, Mackenzie, is headed to UNC in the fall, the other 3 children plan to be involved in everything Sedgefield has to offer from swim team to kid camps to golf. Being originally from Ohio, their love for The Ohio State Buckeyes is still strong. They look forward to meeting other members and being involved in the Sedgefield community!

Ken and Madelene Trolle; daughter Amanda (20) son William (26)

The Trolle family relocated from Munich, Germany to Greensboro 12 years ago. Born and raised in Sweden the entire family are Swedish and American citizens today. Ken holds an executive role for the Volvo Group’s North American operations and their daughter Amanda is a Junior at Ole Miss. Their son William lives and works in Norfolk, Virginia. They were referred to the club by Jaree Todd and are already enjoying their experience. Please join us in welcoming the Trolle family to Sedgefield!

Mark Stephens & Martha Cook

Mark & Martha are moving to the Sedgefield area from Madison, NC, where Mark was raised. He has many fond memories of the club, as his father was a member many years ago. A Marketing Manager at RJ Reynolds, Mark is originally from Salisbury, Maryland while he also attended the University of South Carolina. Mark & Megan are engaged, and Megan works in marketing as well. The Slawikowskis are new to the area, settling in Oak Ridge after relocating from Pittsburgh. While Mark was raised in Chicago, Jennifer grew up just down the road in Statesville, NC. Mark is the Senior Director of Sales for Precoat Metals and Jennifer is the Global Director of Finance for PPG. When not traveling globally for work, the Slawikowskis enjoy golf, social events, and meeting new people, and they were referred to the club by their realtor and member Jaree Todd. Danny & Jane Thompson; daughters Lydia (17) & Rebekah (14)

Please join us in welcoming the Thompson family back to the membership at Sedgefield. The Thompsons rejoined McConnell Golf in June 2021 as Full Members at Sedgefield Country Club. They reside in Summerfield and are looking forward to utilizing all that the club has to offer. Danny is a native of Greensboro and Jane moved here from Asheville to attend college at UNCG. They have been married 30 years and have two grown children and two daughters, Lydia & Rebekah at Caldwell Academy. Danny loves GOLF, tennis, travel, and painting while Jane loves walking, music, and raising her family. For 20 years they have owned and operated Comfort Keepers, a senior in-home care business. The Thompsons are very involved in their community and church where they volunteer and serve on various Boards, non-profits, and leadership positions. Danny also served on the Greensboro City Council. “After many years of building a business and growing a family, we look forward to enjoying all the fellowship and meeting new friends at Sedgefield CC and McConnell Golf. ” Please join us in welcoming the Thompson family to Sedgefield!

New residents of Greensboro, the Krebs retired to the area in October 2020 from Chicago. By joining Sedgefield, the Krebs are looking forward to meeting people in a relaxed and activity-driven atmosphere. “Having recently joined, we are excited about the prospect of meeting all of the current members and staff. We look forward to becoming a part of the community and experiencing all that the club has to offer. Everyone we have met so far has been extremely friendly and the staff is second to none in customer service. Josh & Summer Walters; children Benjamin (9) & Michael (7)

Originally from Indiana & Alaska, the Walters have called the Triad area home for 16 years. Josh is an engineer while Summer is a Registered Nurse. When not on the golf course or in the pool, the Walters spend their time at the baseball diamond where sons Benjamin and Michael are active in the sport. David Wilhoit; children Gabrielle “Brie” (24) & Brock (22)

Mr. Wilhoit has many friends and acquaintances that are members of the club, and he was referred into membership by David Murphy, Sr. An avid golfer, David is looking forward to “improving my handicap, having a place for my family and customers to enjoy, and truly looking for a spot to enjoy the best years of my life to include family involvement, meeting new members and making new friends. ” We welcome David and his kids to Sedgefield!

Jake Titlebaum & Charlotte Frischman

New to the area, Jake and Charlotte are looking forward to meeting many other members and creating a new network of friends. Jake is the fourth generation in his family to work in the textile business while Charlotte is in human resources. In addition to golf, they enjoy great dining, hiking, concerts, and sports. They learned about the club through the Wyndham Championship and are looking forward to this year’s tournament. Please join us in welcoming them to the club!

Brandon Weymann & Sidney Chadwick (soon to be Weymann!)

Sidney is originally from Beaufort, NC, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from ECU in 2015 and recently graduated from ECU School of Dental Medicine in 2020. Her fiance Brandon is from Charlotte, and they met at ECU and have been together for 6 years. They are finally tying the knot in October! Brandon is the Greensboro territory manager for Invisalign, which is what brought them to the area. Brandon & Sidney have a dog named Orville, who is spoiled rotten; he was rescued from the Humane Society while Sidney was in dental school. They love being at the beach and in the boat (with Orville of course), riding bikes, and checking out the local breweries. Brandon loves golf. If he can find a few minutes in between meetings you will find him at the closest range or an empty field hitting golf balls. If you’re looking for a dental home, Sidney will be accepting new patients at Summerfield Family Dentistry at the end of July! While they have lived in the area for more than 30 years, Brian is just recently beginning to play golf seriously and trying to improve his game. He is originally from NYC/Long Island, and is looking forward to playing a lot of golf and meeting many other members. He and wife Heather have three children. Jason & Alison Gray; children Rylan (6) & Carter (2)

A nine-year resident of the Cardinal area and 11 years in Greensboro, Jason is excited to finally take advantage of the gem in his "backyard" . He is currently Sr. Treasury Manager at Qorvo, while Alison is a Physical Therapist for Moses Cone. Their two kids are starting to pick up the game, so they are excited to have lots of family time at the range and on the course. Please join us in welcoming the Gray family to the club!

Paul & Addy Jeffrey; children Paul (25) & Chelsea (20)

Living on the 10th hole on Muirfield Drive, Paul is looking forward to utilizing the club and golf course right in his backyard! He is looking forward to playing lots of golf and meeting many other new members. Please join us in welcoming the Jeffrey family to the Cardinal!

Jim & Amy Marmion; son Andrew (22)

The Marmions have been in the area for over 20 years, recently making the decision to join after living across the street from the club for many years! Referred to the club by member Kip Edwards, Jim is looking forward to making new friends and club events. Jim is retired and Amy is the Outreach Director at St. Paul Catholic Church. In addition to son Andrew (22), they have a total of six adult children; Cara (42), Bob (39), Colleen (37), Mariah (30) & Terry (26).
