Whether it’s handbuilt or Photoshopped, this is a big one – the thing that we’ll brainstorm, sketch, and typically draw the remainder of your aesthetic from. It takes a lot of work, a lot of thought, and it’s the definition of your new storyline. In this circumstance, we’re hoping your listeners judge the book by this cover.
LOGOTYPE
For musicians/bands, we tend to come up with a logo for your cover that can express the sentiments of your music well through typography. This is the typographical element that we urge you to use for the length of the record’s promotional lifespan. Use the snot out of it...people should know your name because of a quick glance. Just remember - some people don’t commit something to deep memory until after 7+ times of hearing it or seeing it.
Brand Aesthetic Style Guide
With every logotype comes a PDF packet (similar to this) with a breakdown of colors used, descriptions of file types, and rules set for your protection if you send to publications or any other parties working with your logo.
PHYSICAL PACKAGING (CD/VINYL/ETC)
So, I know we took a ton of effort developing your cover, but the fun doesn’t stop there. I make sure to continue your aesthetic throughout your entire printed design. Typically I do a bunch of other panels of the same photo/drawing/trypographic style and go nuts making everything match to bring continuity and a thread of story and creativity to your piece. SOO fun.
BTS VIDEO
Within our time together building, computering, drawing, or shooting photos, myself and/or my amazing business partner, Merne Judson III will be shooting behind-the-scenes video of the entire process. Know how handy it is to have THAT? Handy. Really handy. We can take that footage and work with you to develop a release video for your upcoming project in the same style as the aesthetic we’ve set up for you! Handy. CONCEPT-BASED PROMOTIONAL PHOTO SHOOT After we create your album cover, we
spend a lot of time developing the storyline that can progress through your imagery. A concept-based photo shoot is just that - a continuation of your story. This includes multiple locations, sometimes sets, a lot of Photoshop/building, etc. Think of this shoot as two things: 1) another huge awesome piece of artwork featuring you/your band and 2) a plethora of shots from the included standard photoshoot.
These images will be extremely useful as you begin to develop your new identity and establish your aesthetic online and through print media.
STANDARD PROMOTIONAL PHOTO SHOOT Hardly considered “standard” by most
people, these images are developed primarily in studio or on one location. While it claims to be standard, these typically tend to be extremely creative and modern in their lighting and posing.
All Photos in Print & Web Versions
Don’t worry. We got you covered. All photos come in huge print versions at 300dpi, and our web versions are built at the traditional sizing for any site (Squarespace, Wordpress, etc.) to comfortably fit any screen. All ya gotta do is plug n’ play.
Let us know which one you’re a bigger fan of for file delivery, and we’ll make sure to organize your files and make it accessable and pretty. I know it seems silly, but file naming and orginazation is extremely important when you’re looking for something that you can’t seem to find - especially if you’re using Apple’s search, ammiright? Obviously, this is no additional cost. We just like pretty stuff.

SCREEN PRINTED POSTER
These specialty posters are super fun. Typically, they’re hand drawn and sent to a local screen print company to print on hefty card stock. Honestly? They’re awesome advertising, but they’re amazing to sell on the merch table as an original piece of art.
ADMAT POSTER
Admat posters are the ones you print a ton of, write on, roll up, shove in a mailing tube, and send to venues for your gigs. They exist in bookstore windows, light poles, and just about anywhere where your street team can reach. Needless to say, admats (advertising material) are extremely useful...
