SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS
“ Scott is one of the most talented and creative people I know. His photos are productions with a vision and purpose. Not at all stand-against-a-brick-wall-and-smile. As capital-A Art as the photos are, they don’t just serve themselves. Then can serve you and your project, as Scott designs it. And those designs are often as creative and unique as the photos themselves.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT + CREATIVE ARTIST
ORIGINAL ADVERTISING ARTWORK – SKETCHES Creative advertisement? No problem. We sit down to brainstorm with you and anyone in your company to begin the sketching phase. Often times the sketches reflect directly what we will accomplish, but throughout the creative process, we may find something works better than anticipated. While that happens frequently, we always get a final approval from you before moving ahead on any notions that arize.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT + CREATIVE ARTIST
ORIGINAL ADVERTISING ARTWORK – PHOTOSHOOT The next step is to book the photoshoot. If you have a project manager, marketing agent, or anyone you’d like to attend the shoot, they are more than welcome. If you are relying solely on us to project your company’s brand successfully, we are fully equipped to do so. After the shoot, we mock several examples in a presentation to you and any representatives from your company. At that meeting, we decide which image(s) most suit the advertisement(s) you hired us for. You recieve your final project within a week of that meeting formatted perfectly for any size.
A FEW EXAMPLES 1. LIFE-SIZE CUTOUT FOR WHOLE FOODS
HOW WE MADE IT
After a few brainstorming sessions, Cappello’s and McCormick Photos came to a series of images that we loved for their “Paleo Pasta” campaign (based around the popular Paleo Diet). Intended for a large, life-sized cutout to be placed in multiple Whole Foods Stores, we set out to bring the ‘sophisticated caveman’ to life. We contracted a scene painter to come paint a thirty-five foot backdrop that we could place the model in. After setting up the giant backdrop (and borrowing several huge rocks from friends), we let the makeup FX artist go to work. She brought out the model’s forehead and nose to give a more neanderthal vibe while we decorated him in animal skins. We gave him a fancy fork, some pasta, and pointed his pinky finger towards the sky. Viola!
2. WOODEN WAVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR WEB PROMOTIONS
HOW WE MADE IT
After three days of gathering content from Boston Woodworking’s past clients (Chipotle, Sully & Co., Western Energy Alliance, and more), we began building out a concept of create a wave made of wood. We headed to their giant warehouse and took another three days constructing everything in this ad. With a final eighteen foot wooden wave, we began the lighting process. This image is three images splice together. We mounted a large light on the twenty-five foot ceiling, and from left to right we light the scenario with three other lights of varying height. Favorite part? Watching Seth Clark (owner) tear down the whole structure in about 20 minutes with just a hammer. Jeez. He’s a tough dude.
3. FOURTEEN FOOT MURAL CREATED FOR ATOMIC COWBOY RESTAURANT
HOW WE MADE IT
Originally conceptualized as a large art mural for Atomic Cowboy’s location on Tennyson St., this image has proven to be an asset for advertisements, merchandise, and become an icon of that location. After going through a few ideas with Atomic, we settled on an image based around Frederic Remington’s “A Dash For The Timbre.” I contacted eight farms to see if we could shoot their horses (and preferably cowboys) in a Remington style. Remington had a wonderful way of depicting the violent motion of horses in his paintings and sculptures, and we wanted to grab that with a photograph. Obviously, most farms said “no. We literally train our horses to NOT do that.” So, it proved a challenge. Until we found a wonderful farm in Golden, CO and spent a day shooting four men, multiple outfits, and a plethora of horses. We rented a space suit from a company in L.A. and headed out for Great White Sand Dunes National Park for a morning shoot with the spaceman. Waking up before first light, we headed into the sandy abyss and gathered over 1200 photographs of the spaceman in all positions. All-in-all, this image took 8 full weeks and over 1200 images Photoshopped together to complete.
ORIGINAL CONCEPTUAL SKETCH THAT REMAINS UNUSED
SUPPLEMENTAL IMAGES While we pour an incredible amount of energy and time into creating a perfect image to supplement your advertisements, we also turn the camera on some of the quieter moments during the process. For this particular example, we had rented the space suit for a whole week. So, after the primary images were shot, we took it elsewhere. Different model, different horse, same suit. These images are phenomenal for posters, postcards, separate ads, etc. We rarely just turn in one image when we work on advertisements. We’d like you to have enough content that you can continue the storytelling after your initial image hits the market.
LOGOTYPE It is extremely important to us that your name is instantly recognizable. When we produce logos for any group, we have particular notions that we can pull from it. In this case, we have a rooster, a color scheme, and a distinct typographical style that should be instantly noticed. We understand how much your logotype has to shift based on print materials, web uses, and simplicity of forms vs. complete image. Our goal is to give you every version that you require to further your brand, and utilize each version of logo to pair with whatever your needs are. Long story short? We give you EVERYTHING.
UTILIZE THE FLEXIBILITY OF YOUR LOGOTYPE
CONTENT MANAGEMENT STYLE GUIDE Every time you get a logo from McCormick Photos it comes with an accompanying PDF packet that describes how we got to your final logotype and how you can use it. It even goes as in depth to describe to others how to use your logo appropriately so your company is never mis-represented. This gives a breakdown of file types you’ve received, pullouts from the logo itself, and a Proper Use Guide to assist you with examples of what to use and when. In a realm where everything is changing so quickly, your logotype should be well equipped to support every need that arizes.
DIVERSIFY YOUR CONTENT
CONTENT ASSET GRAB Our job is to get you content that you can use as long as you’d like. Be it 1 year or 10 years, we will gather enough stock imagery to support you.
