MCCS Child Development Center Presents Curious Minds Summer Camp
“Curious minds WANT TO explore!” Weekly Summer Camp Program for children ages 4-5. They must be kindergarten bound in the fall. Program held Monday-Friday 8 AM – 4 PM. Children already enrolled in CDC will attend summer camp. The registration for summer camp is first-come firstserved. Patrons already enrolled at CDC will be given priority registration May 12-23 and base wide registration will begin on May 26.
WET & WILD WEEK
JUNE 30-AUG 4 It’s wet, wild and water week! From rivers to wetlands and lakes to oceans, we will explore the many aquatic ecosystems and the unique creatures that inhabit them. Uncover the secrets of the deep ocean and discover why water is a perfect place for animals to call home! DIGGIN’ DINOSAURS
SAFETY / FRIENDSHIP WEEK
JUNE 16-20 Get set, ready, go!!! This week we will learn how to stay safe this summer. We will have few visits from our community helpers and they will teach us how to stay safe and have fun in the summer months. We will meet new friends, make friendship necklaces and cook some yummy sandwiches, along with other fun, safe activities. FIREFIGHTER ACADEMY WEEK
JUNE 23-27 Here comes the firefighter! Explore the science of firefighting! Wear firefighter gear and practice a fire drill. Visit a real fire station to find out how firefighters stay fit and ready for duty. We will pass a firefighter obstacle course. Make a journal of what we’ve learned during firefighting week, along with more fun activities.
JULY 7-11 Field Trip to Hachigmine Park: 8:30-1:30 PM Calling all future Paleontologists. Spend a week digging for dinosaurs. Explore the world of the largest extinct reptile ever to walk the earth. You will be sure to get your hands dirty this week as we dig and uncover the reptiles of the past. SLAM JAMMIN SPORTS CELEBRATION
JULY 14-18 Batter Up! Panther Athletes and coaches are off to a super start as we kick off a slam jamming sports celebration! Join the track team to run for your personal best, take a step up to the plate and work on super soccer skills. Everyone is a player in the allstar line up!

We will splatter, splash and squash our way through a wild week of art! Imagination and creativity will run wild as we discover a variety of techniques and materials that will stimulate the imagination and open the door to future art exploration. JULY 28 - AUGUST 1 Konnichiwa! Enter the terrific pacific and explore the islands of Japan. Trek to the top of Mt. Fuji, wear a kimono and karaoke in Kyoto! Come fly Kites and delight in a celebration of Japan and follow the mysterious folklore of the Far East fairytales. YICK, YACK, YUCK
AUGUST 4-8 Get slimy, squishy, icky and sticky as you explore the messy side of science. Digestion, dirt and decay all take center stage in this camp that investigates some of the aspects of life, from intriguing insects, to the magical rain forest. Make slime, dig for bugs and make edible dirt cups.
It’s your time to shine on a planetary race through outer space! See star-tacular scenes as we zoom to the moon and take a spin around the solar system. Learn the order of the planets and hunt for moon rocks. Join us on this outrageous exploration to the outer limits. May the force be with you! KINDER BOOT CAMP
AUGUST 18-29 (TWO WEEKS OF BOOT CAMP) FIELDTRIPS: It’s your time to go to Kindergarten. So, we want to equip you with what it takes to be a professional kindergartener. Our curriculum would be aligned with the Kindergarten curriculum that is used by the classroom teacher for daily instruction. There will be homework sheets and lessons on how to go through the lunch line. Please note that during Kinder-Boot camp there will not be fieldtrips, swimming or bowling.
