JUNE IS MEN'S HEALTH MONTH TESTICULAR CANCER

Testicular cancer isn’t very common and usually strikes men between 15 and 34 years old. Doing monthly self-examines can help with early detection. If you are unsure how to complete a self-exam, ask your doctor to show you. See your doctor if your testicles exhibit the following symptoms: • Have painless swelling • Have a hard lump, pea-sized or larger • Feel “heavy” • Never appear (descend) Take charge of your health and safety by preventing disease. Hospitals, universities and government agencies have great resources to help you along the way. If you are unsure of how to take control over your health or how to implement preventative measures, don’t be afraid to ask your doctor or health care provider. No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden By Mark Owen (MCN 958.104) The author is a member of the elite twenty four man team that makes up Seal Team Six. Owen provides a first-hand account of the training, assault, traumatic events and ultimate death of the worlds most wanted terrorist. The Endgame: The Inside story of the Struggle for Iraq, from George W. Bush to Barack Obama By Michael R. Gorgon and General Bernard E. Trainor (956.704 Gor) The authors deftly piece together the story of the most widely reported but least understood war in American history.
