Requirements for first-time applicants to apply for Peoria Promise Peoria Promise is a 100% donor-funded program that offers eligible Peoria area students attending Illinois Central College (ICC) up to a 100% out-of-pocket tuition reimbursement. If you’ve never previously received a Peoria Promise scholarship, you must meet the following criteria to apply.

Use this checklist to see if you qualify for Peoria Promise

Currently live at a qualifying address

q

Graduate from a public high school while living at a qualifying address

q

Graduate in 2013 or after from one of these public high schools:

Complete at least three full grades in a public school while living in a qualifying address

q

If you’ve completed any college coursework, including dual credit:

q Earned a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA q Completed at least 67% of registered classes

IF YOU QUALIFY, you may apply for Peoria Promise. Apply online and access our application checklist to help guide you through the scholarship process at peoriapromise.org. Applications are due March 1 each year.

All students must submit a new application each year for Peoria Promise, regardless of whether past applications were accepted or declined.

Requirements to retain Peoria Promise Peoria Promise is a 100% donor-funded program that offers eligible Peoria area students attending Illinois Central College (ICC) up to a 100% out-of-pocket tuition reimbursement. If you’ve received a Peoria Promise scholarship in the past, you must continue to meet the following criteria to apply.

Use this checklist to remain eligible for Peoria Promise

Currently live at a qualifying address Go online to enter your home address and see if you live in a qualifying address. http://gis.peoriacounty.org/peoriapromise As a current student, you may also live at the Woodview Commons Apartments.

q

Have not reached maximum years and/or earned credit hours

q

Maintain National Standard of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

q

Apply for Peoria Promise and meet all application requirements each academic year

q Five years after high school graduation q 64 Credit hours Example : 2013 Grads have through the Spring of 2018 or until completing 64 hours, whichever comes first.

q Take and complete 6 credit hours per semester q Earn a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA q Complete at least 67% of registered classes

You will need to use your IICC eServices ID and password to complete the Peoria Promise online application. www.peoriapromise.org Application is open between January 1 and March 1

Additional scholarships are available through the ICC Education Foundation.
