• Take a drive along the North East
Victoria Silo Art trail and see silos, street art and water tank art in the townships of Goorambat, Devenish, St James,
Tungamah and the Winton Wetlands. • Meander the streets of Benalla as you take in the town’s street art. Benalla is home to over 70 murals by well-known street artists.
• Continue to see the art in everything as you take a drive to Swanpool and Tatong and see murals and water tank art.
• Winton Wetlands is an ephemeral wetland and is the largest wetland restoration project in the Southern
Hemisphere. Discover cycle and walking tracks, art in the landscape and the
Lotjpatj Natjan Danka Sculpture Walk.

War Services room and a fascinating and renowned costume collection. Currently closed for renovation and due to reopen in 2023.
• Take the time to explore the life of Ned Kelly in the Benalla region along the Ned Kelly Touring Route. www.nedkellytouringroute.com.au • Take in a great 4.2 km walk, run or ride around the Lake Benalla’s walking tracks.
Make sure you look out for platypus, turtles and the Rakali, a native water rat.
• Take a seat in the Aboriginal Garden and be surrounded by old river red gums. • Stroll through the heritage listed botanical gardens and enjoy the rose collection of over 1000 roses which is especially delightful when in full bloom.
Take a moment to reflect at the Sir
‘Weary’ Dunlop and Captain Hec Waller memorials, both poignant reminders of lives lost.
• Head to the adventure playground and check out the rope and sand play, the hobbit cave or slide on the iconic rocket slide.
• Enjoy the Heritage Trail which will take you on a self-guided discovery tour of
Benalla’s rich history. • Drive along the Military History Trail, which is a great way to explore all that the region has to offer. • Explore the nooks and crannies of the
Ceramic Mural.
• The Aquatic Centre features indoor and outdoor pools and a gym if you want to keep up your exercise regime or take the kids for a splash. The hydrotherapy pool water temperature is set to around 35C.



• For the kids, cool off in summer and head to the splash park. The park has blade sprays, tip and fi ll water play, water sprays, water cannons and more. Open from 8 am to 8 pm in the summer months. • Grab the scooter, skateboard or even the BMX and wheel your way around the skatepark or BMX track. • Benalla Aviation Museum and Men’s Shed has several historic aircraft on display. www.benallaaviationmuseum.org.au • Soar through the skies and book a glider fl ight or fl oat above the earth in a hot air balloon. • Take a step back in time and take a self-guided walking touring through the Benalla Migrant Camp site. www.benallamigrantcamp.com.au • Winton Motor Raceway: thrill to the
