Great to be back for Winter Blues It takes a twin-town to make a festival, and after two years in hibernation, the Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival is back this weekend and raring to go. The festival committee has been working hard with a group of volunteers to bring the event back from 2019. People have been helping the festival come to life from all corners of the community: Rochester Mitre 10 provided the materials for the timber guitar blanks and, the Echuca Men’s Shed cut out the guitar shapes. The Echuca Library staff ran a school holiday program for kids to paint
the guitars, and are helping to distribute them around town to be displayed in the windows of local businesses. Volunteers will also be staffing the Winter Blues merchandise tent outside the Port Ice Creamery all weekend, and if the cold weather keeps up, winter warmers will be selling like hotcakes. Hopwood Gardens rotunda will ring out the blues on both Saturday and Sunday
and the Kids Space Marquee at the park will be fabulous to keep all members of the family entertained and be sure to check out the ice sculpture before it melts. So, what’s happening at the festival? The Songwriter’s Studio kicks off the festival with a two-day workshop for around 40 students coming from as far away as Geelong. The students will perform at Radcliffe’s on Friday evening
July 29, a must for all, especially parents and friends. There will be music at 1895 The Royal, the American Hotel and the Shamrock Hotel on Thursday evening from 6.30!–!7pm, and the Echuca Racing Club will also feature a winning combination of racing and music. Blues magic will be on show all weekend around the twin-towns, be sure to check it out!

Line Up Looks Great
Some big blues names are coming to town for the festival this year.
Hut will operate in Little Hopwood Street as the Winter Blues stage and will have live music through Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss out on our young local talent at the Homegrown Stage on Murray Esplanade on Saturday sponsored by Riva Fab. It will feature a big line up of young musicians, including some well-known local faces.
is a total of 22 stages operating, including multiple in-town venues such as hotels, clubs, cafes, the Echuca Library, and the MV Mary Ann. Out of town venues The Gunbower Hotel, The Falcon Hotel, the Echuca Racing Club and Cape Horn Winery have artists coming to perform at different stages throughout the festival. The Closter’s Group Howlin’ Wolf
48 blues bands will provide music across venues in the twin-towns starting your weekend early on Thursday night, and continuing all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, culminating in the highly anticipated wrap party on Sunday night at Radcliffe’s from 6pm. This is the festival’s only ticketed event, and it is already a sell out! Across the festival map, there
