They will share the stage with Aussie music icons Boom Crash Opera, Daryl Braithwaite, Diesel, Ian Moss and James Reyne. The Gurus, as they are referred to by their die-hard fans, are an Australian rock band who formed in Sydney in 1981. After a string of acclaimed pop-rock singles including My Girl, Bittersweet, Like Wow – Wipeout and What’s My Scene the band toured the US in 1984 and gained a huge following there. Their single Come Anytime reached No 1 on the US Billboard chart and Miss Freelove ’69 reached No 3. The band’s iconic status on the Australian rock scene was acknowledged when they were inducted into the 2007 Aria Hall of Fame and were described as one of the most "inventive, lyrically smart and exciting" bands from Australia. One year
