I Want I Need provides customers with a boutique shopping experience that’s not often seen in regional Victoria. Owner Lisa Cox takes pride in providing the best quality homewares for the Echuca-Moama area. “We call ourselves a lifestyle emporium,” she said. “We sell anything, from cushions, vases, throws, clothing, jewellery, baby goods, chocolate and so forth. It’s that one-stop shop you can come in and get a gift for everybody.” The store also carries a large range of products from local, national and international brands, with a strong preference for Australian businesses. “All our artworks are sourced from Australian companies and we try to get a lot of our wares in Australia too,” Lisa said. “We support a lot of homebased businesses with earrings and soaps, cards and leather handmade bags. “We have local ladies who make kids’ wear with beautiful patterns and we have people coming back from Melbourne to come and get these pieces that are locally produced, because it’s a one-off piece.” The business is set to become bigger with further developments under way, including the purchase of a new warehouse for expansion of stock and a van for delivery of artworks and small furniture. I Want I Need also provides a click and collect service online, making it easier for those with a busy schedule to shop; as well as free gift wrapping in-store and a loyalty program.
