FUSION SERIES The Fusion OC employs straight line activation to place a 10% concentration of pepper spray directly on target . . . even in the dark. Replaceable Heat Inserts are custom formulated. They dispense Oleoresin Capsicum (two million Scoville Heat Units) in a cone shaped spray. Inert (Test) Inserts are ideal for training simulations. A Conversion Tube allows the use of Palm Defender Inserts.
The Fusion LED provides a pre-focused penetration beam of incredible brightness. The combination of an easily carried baton and high intensity LED light provides a great tactical advantage. Rotary switch activation is positive, yet secure against inadvertent contact. At the same time, the baton retains all of the size, weight and striking advantages of other ASP expandables.

The three ceramic pins of the BreakAway provide instant entry through tempered glass. For emergency entry through a windshield, punch a large circular pattern with the BreakAway. TACTICAL MIRRORS are easily carried in the pocket and may be rapidly attached to an ASP Baton. They are ideal for drug search and room clearance operations. The mirror allows an officer to see around corners without presenting a target. In addition, it is an ideal means of looking into areas without risking exposure to hidden needles. BOW Whether in high carbon steel or forged aircraft aluminum, the high contact bow has fully radiused edges, deep set teeth and the largest span of locking positions in the industry.

LOCK SET Tactical (one pawl), Security (two pawl), European (three pawl) and Training (slip pawl) Lock Sets are color coded and interchangeable. Lock assemblies are extremely smooth with dual-sided stainless steel keyways and high visibility double lock indicators. Both double and single locks release by turning the key in one direction.

MODEL Chain, Hinge and Rigid Restraints are available in both steel and aluminum configurations. Chain and Hinge Identifier Restraints are stocked in six standard colors. All ASP Restraints are produced with one, two, three or slip pawl Lock Sets.

FRAME A hardened stainless steel core is overmolded in virtually indestructible polymer to form the frame of ASP Handcuffs. They are lightweight with permanent color, radiused edges and Flex Frame Technology.

ENGRAVING The laser engraved serial number of ASP Handcuffs also identifies the date of manufacture. Agency or individual identification can be engraved on the bow or frame.

LINEAR AND LATERAL MOBILITY ASP Chain Handcuffs provide a major advance in both the design and construction of wrist restraints. Frame geometry is the result of extensive computer modeling and simulation analysis. Strength potential has been maximized through use of an interlocking, unitized frame. The cuff structure is forged from high strength stainless steel on custom built, high speed, progressive dies. Each restraint is then overmolded with ordnance grade polymer under 75 tons of pressure. The Lock Assembly is unitized and replaceable.

CHAIN HANDCUFF SERIES ASP Chain Handcuffs were designed in the field. Input came from officers and instructors in over 80 nations where ASP currently conducts training. As a result, this ASP design incorporates the practical features most requested by officers on the street. A stainless steel handcuff that weighs less than standard designs. Chain cuffs are flexible and more easily applied during a confrontation. A flat contact bow improves application.
Complex “keyhole up� training procedures are no longer necessary. There is a keyway and double lock slot on each side of each restraint. A double lock warning bar is readily visible. Both double and single locks are released by turning the key in a single direction. The frame geometry, deep set teeth and precision smooth action eliminate the need for backloading. Lock Assemblies are readily replaced.

LINEAR MOBILITY, LATERAL RIGIDITY Hinge Handcuffs provide increased control of violent subjects. Because of their conical bow geometry, the cuffs fit large subjects, yet still control small wrists. They are easily carried, rapidly applied and have a clean, smooth, finished appearance. HINGE HANDCUFF SERIES As with all ASP products, the design for these Hinge Handcuffs originated in the field. ASP Trainers surveyed instructors and officers throughout the world. The most desirable handcuff features were listed and categorized. The result is a handcuff unlike any other. The design introduces features, construction and materials that are innovative, real world and strong. An optimized frame design was achieved through the use of sophisticated computerized engineering programs. Strength potential was maximized through the selection
of an optimal combination of materials, heat treatment, frame geometry and reinforcing ribs. The overmolded stainless steel frames of ASP Hinge Handcuffs flex to the side when improperly applied to reduce injury potential from excessive lateral stress. The swivel has traditionally been the weakest part of any handcuff design. The Hinge cuff uses a pin and plate link to provide rigid frame alignment. The stainless steel links of ASP Hinge Handcuffs have a four point pivot structure to maximize handling characteristics.

IDENTIFIER HANDCUFF SERIES Identifier Handcuffs are available in Chain or Hinge configurations. They add permanent color options to this world class design. Identifier colors will not crack, chip or fade. They are a structural component of the handcuff frame and will last the life of the cuff.

RIGID HANDCUFF SERIES ASP Rigid Handcuffs feature a locking bridge in the center of an ergonomic palm swell. Orientation disks confirm proper positioning. Raised for right-hand officers, lowered for left. The recessed finger track and contoured hand guard maintain a clear path to the bow guides. TRI-FOLD RESTRAINT SYSTEM Tri-Fold disposable restraints incorporate a revolutionary new twin strap design. A patented Retaining Block completely surrounds the ratchet mechanism of each restraint. The reinforcement provides protection against shimming. The design also makes it physically impossible to “pull through” the locking ratchet as is possible on other double restraints. Each Tri-Fold strap folds in three locations for compact storage. The straps are .5" wide with rounded edges to protect the subject’s wrists. The Roller Loc design provides an incredibly smooth pull during application. As resistance is applied, additional ratchet teeth roll into place to secure the straps into the Retaining Block. The diamond configuration of expanded Tri-Fold straps

provide large pre-formed loops. Once expanded, the straps can be rapidly applied. The design allows both restraints to be pulled simultaneously with the reusable pull ring. TRAINING RESTRAINTS All ASP Training Restraints are identical to their operational counterparts. They can be cased, carried and presented in the same manner as their tactical twin. Red Training Chain, Hinge, Rigid and Tri-Fold Restraints are applied using the same Rock & Lock handcuffing procedure. They may then be rapidly removed using the Rotary Release technique. Training Restraint pawls are designed to disengage when subjected to continuous back pressure. The handcuffed student need only roll the wrists to release the cuffs. Training Cuffs may also be double locked. Once the secondary lock is activated, hard cuffs can only be

removed by using a key to release the pawl. This design feature allows progressive restraint training. During ASP Handcuff Training, students initially apply restraints to Training Batons and remove the cuffs by sliding them off. Next, students apply restraints to other trainees, having the subject remove the cuffs by rotating their wrists. Finally, hard cuffs are applied and double locked. Double and single locks are released with a key that is turned in the direction of the bow. This progressive training system maximizes restraint application while allowing officers to practice all components of the handcuff skill set.

SELECT YOUR OC DEFENDER Traditional chemical irritants are little more than specially loaded spray cans. ASP Defenders were specifically designed as a dispersion system for chemical irritants. Rather than filling a standard aerosol can with Oleoresin Capsicum, Defenders incorporate a proprietary container, specially produced valve system and patented dispensing mechanism. They are precision machined from aerospace aluminum and solid brass. The entire unit is o-ring sealed.

KEYRING PROTECTION The ASP Defender Series is precision machined from high strength aerospace aluminum. They are lightweight, low profile, easily carried and devastatingly effective. Bright dip industrial anodizing is accented by an injection molded Delrin safety. The solid brass keyring swivel retains two heat treated, black chrome plated split rings. Both the dispersion tip and retention cap are o-ring sealed. The safety is positive and secure. Release requires two distinct movements. Straight line activation places a cone-shaped spray on target, even in the dark. Heat (OC) provides two million Scoville Heat Units of Oleoresin Capsicum protection. PERSONAL DEFENDER SERIES Personal Defenders eliminate the likelihood of accidental OC discharge. The horizontal firing system combined with a wraparound safety and thumb activated brass swivel preclude unintended activation. Discharging the system requires two separate and distinct operations to disengage the safety and activate the Insert.
Personal Defenders are available in six anodized colors, electroless nickel plating and matte black texture. Both Palm and Key Defenders have solid brass swivel activators, wraparound Delrin safeties and heat treated black chrome split rings. Heat (OC) and Test (Inert) Inserts are replaceable.

EASILY CARRIED, READILY DEPLOYED The Tactical Defender places two inconspicuous levels of force in an officer’s hand. Acceleration from pain compliance with OC to impact with the ASP Baton is rapid and effortless. Holding the Defender in the traditional ready position, the safety may be pushed off and the OC activated or the baton expanded.
