2 Problem 4 Research 10 Ideation 12 Implementation 18 Business Considerations
1
Many children’s adaptive and rehabilitation toys address single impairments. They are built for certain disabilities, and focus on only one aspect. These toy are often function first, made of plastics only, and can become expensive. There is an opportunity to address multiple common impairments in one toy in a beautiful way. A multi-functional toy would be beneficial to children with different impairments learning the same skills. With these problems in mind, I created the Moto Rainstick. It is a multi-functional toy that helps any child developmentally at 3 years old simultaneously work fine motor and cognitive skills in an aesthetically pleasing way that appeals to both children and adults.

There are 5 disks in each rainstick. Each disk works a separate fine motor skill paired with a cognitive task. The rainstick acts as an obstacle course; each disk has a task that lets the beads through the next “chamber until they reach the bottom.
