Join us on Monday 17 March to celebrate St Patrick’s Day and take part in the annual trek up Slemish to enjoy the spectacular views. The walk to the summit and back is 1.5km and takes approximately one hour in good weather. According to legend, following his capture and being brought as a slave to Ireland, Patrick worked as a shepherd at Slemish Mountain for about six years.

To manage the traffic and for health and safety reasons, parking arrangements for the event are as follows:
• FREE park and ride at Silverwood, Raceview Road. The shuttle bus service will operate from 9am-3.30pm (last departure from Silverwood)
• No parking permitted along the Carnstroan Road or Carnstroan Lane
Please note:
• No dogs or alcohol permitted
• Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
• The event is weather dependent
• There is no blue badge parking available at Slemish
Come prepared!
• Wear suitable footwear (boots with ankle protection, soft trainers are not recommended)
• Wear layered clothing & bring waterproof clothing
