PLAN FOR WARMTH heating design service. You can rely on our experience. We have been designing heating systems for our customers since the late 1970’s and now countless houses large and small, Hotels, Nursing Homes etc enjoy the comfort and cost benefits of a William Wilson quality system. All fuel types are catered for including mains gas, Lpg, oil, solid-fuel, and electric – and we can help with your enquiries on Renewable Energies such as Solar and Ground/Air-source Heat Pumps. Systems can be designed by us to incorporate various heat-emitter styles although one of the fastest growing sectors of the heating market is wet Underfloor Heating. Our Designers are fully trained in the sizing and design/specification of Underfloor Heating, and almost any type of floor make-up can incorporate this type of system. For first-time installers of Underfloor Heating, we can even offer free on-site assistance at the 1st-fix stage to ensure that you, the installer, are then confident of completing the rest of the installation on your own.
3 EASY STEPS to using the Plan for Warmth Heating Design Service Step 1 – Contact your nearest William Wilson Heating Design Centre at five locations where one of our qualified Designers will discuss your requirements. If a house plan is available this can greatly speed up the time taken to complete the design, if no house plan is available we can arrange for a free site visit by our Survey Engineer. Step 2 – Following receipt of the house plan (or once the site visit has been made if no plans are available), one of our qualified Designers will prepare an energy efficient heating design, tailor made to the property. Fully compliant products will be specified and comfort conditions will be guaranteed by us. Step 3 – The Heating Design is then forwarded to you together with a competitive quotation for the supply of the necessary materials. Our Designers are of course always on hand to discuss any queries you may have relating to the design or to any of the equipment specified.

All our systems are designed on C.A.D. (Computer Aided Design) and satisfy the requirements of BS5449. Our Heating Design Service doesn’t just provide you with an energy efficient system that will delight you and your customer. By letting us do all the heat-loss calculations, boiler and heat-emitter sizing, layout drawings, material specification etc etc, the service will save you hours of time into the bargain. Remember too that our Designers are fully qualified – No longer do you have to worry that everything has been sized accurately – Let us undertake the design and you can consider it done!
ADAPTED TO YOUR NEEDS Improving old systems Now that most existing houses already have a heating system installed, William Wilson is nowadays becoming increasingly involved in improving old systems; this may mean changing to a high-efficiency condensing boiler and more effective radiators, perhaps also by fitting money saving temperature controls – of vital importance in offsetting rising fuel costs. It may also mean considering one of the renewable energy technologies such as Solar Panels to help reduce running costs and help the environment. If you need advice relating to improving an existing system our Designers are on hand to discuss the options and, if need be, our Survey Engineer can visit the site and decide on the most appropriate replacement boiler etc.
Heating the larger property Our design engineers are just as capable of designing larger systems as they are the small bungalow.
