On the River Papercut poster and a booklet design for Guy de Maupassant’s short story. "Dreamers maintain that the sea hides in its bosom vast tracts of blue where those who are drowned roam among the big fishes, amid strange forests and crystal grottoes."

The Wind in the Willows cover design for Penguin Design Award 2013 This book is a classic of children’s literature by Kenneth Grahame. My goal was to design a cover, that shows the four main characters different nature, because it gives the charm of book, as Theodore Roosevelt wrote he had "read it and reread it, and have come to accept the characters as old friends"

Book design for Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus The contrated outside of the book refers to the moral argument and physical fight between the two main characters. The volcano is golden vinyl sticker cutted by plotter cutting machine. The paper of the textblock is a really thin, 60 g/sqm paper, its texture emphasizes the paper cut illustrations. The biggest challenge was to decide wich parts I want to illustrate, because I have decided from the very first moment that some tiny details predict the future and I wanted to choose those parts of the story, which are really turning points in it.

Astronomers Almost everyone heard of black holes, supernovas, solar flares and meteors. Everybody knows Niels Armstrong famous words. The beautiful photos were taken by Hubble telescope travelled the whole word. But did you know that Hubble's beloved cat was named after Copernicus? Astronomers are exciting too, such as Tycho Brahe, who lost a part of his nose in a duel with another student and for the rest of his life he wore a metal inset to cover the missing part. I picked nine astronomers, their characteristic tools or inventions show the first letter of their names, except Hypatia, who's letter is A that means Alexandria.

GLIESE 667CC To the Infinity and Beyond exhibition There is an extrasolar planet 22 light-years from us. Gliese 667 Cc is a member of the Gliese 667 triple star system. This planet lies in what the scientists describe as a ‘habitable zone’, neither too near its sun to dry out or too far away which freezes it. What kind of plants live there?

client: Írók Boltja (Writer's shop) Dracula's Castle The theme of my degree project was the Budapest based Írók Boltja bookstore’s identity renewal and concept for its window display, what is realized and has been seen for a week. The theme of the display was an annual appearance of a famous book. 26 May 1897 was the date when Bram Stoker’s Dracula published in London. The display was a remembrance of the famous vampire story ever. My work was just like a diorama, what means "through that which is seen", the layers one behind one made the illusion of a three-dimensional landscape. With this technique I could create the appearance of a real space. I started to design with a 1:8 scale model, what became really usefull during the work. I have had the opportunity to experiment with papers, colors and shapes.

client: Írók Boltja (Writer's shop) Írók Boltja (Writer's shop) identity Before it was a bookstore there were been a cafe, and since of its foundation the place is the center of Budapest’s literatur life. The renewal of the identity is really important for the shop, adapt to the needs of the new generation and keep the regular customers as well. Besides the renewal it is really important to not forget the past, but build on it. At the beginning the store was the Café Japan what became one of the most popular and famous gathering place for artists and writers in Budapest. Recall the original atmosphere and cultural role of Café Japan, an intimate teahouse operates inside the store where the costumers can freely read. Regularly held literary events and writer-reader meetings also take place in the teahouse. The design of the logo based on the japanese letters within that I reached back to their origins. The I is a "pen", R is a "hand", O is a "tree" and the K is a "book". This words connects to the bookstore. To use the logotype I designed a two-color stamp what can be seen on the envelope, writing paper and business card. The other part of the identity is a pattern what was inspired by the fig tree what is the universal symbol of knowledge. The pattern is made of 7 different elements. Beside the logotype, stamp and the ornaments I had designed a package with wrapping paper and tote bag, which was made with silkscreen printing.
