Lakeview Helicopters is a family owned company with a primary base at Taupo Airport, the principals of the company are actively involved in the day to day operations both in management and flying activities. Operating a B2 and B3 squirrel and a Bell Huey helicopter. Lakeview Helicopters has an aerial agricultural experience dating back 30 years. With current spray operations being performed Lakeview Helicopters conducts forestry spray operations in the regions including but not limited to: Tokoroa, Rotorua, Kawerau, Tauranga, Taupo, Taumarunui and Waitomo.
Our current fleet of support trucks for forestry spraying are two Volvo 8*4 flatdecks with Tanker/Helipad configured with flowmeters on delivery and chemical lines to ensure accurate dosing on spray operations. BT-50 Chase vehicles provide support to the Helicopters with Fuel and Pump Gear.

8000Hrs of operations in NZ on agricultural and Air Transport Operations and abroad on Fire and Geo-Survey operations, Bruce is very multi Role and provides much of the training for crew at Lakeview helicopters. Bruce is a key part of our spray planning and execution he is a very approachable person and when not at work you can find him headed for the slopes on Ruapehu or out pedaling his mountain bike around craters bike park.
With 3000Hrs of operations in NZ and growing up around Helicopters Brad is familiar and competent in all challenges that the business presents. Brad likes to specialize in the lifting operations and enjoys the Huey Helicopter on precision longline and fire operations. When not in the Helicopter he is very active on engineering projects used to improve operations and he is an expert with GIS. During his off time Brad is a keen fisherman and enjoys speedway.

CHEMICAL STORE & RECONCILIATION Load-sheets Our load sheets are produced to ensure accurate dosing of chemical and recording of weather on each job. Kestral Weather recorders are used at each site to monitor the conditions and are recorded, all information is retained in a cloud based system accessible to clients.
A comprehensive spreadsheet is kept of all chemical Lakeview holds in store for any client, the delivery to store and the use of the chemical is entered to maintain an accurate record of clients Chemicals held in store. Every time Chemical is used on a job it is entered into the system. Chemical usage is recorded on the job with load sheets for accurate reconciliation.
MSDS Sheets All Chemicals held either in store or in transport are accompanied with the appropriate MSDS Transport Declarations – All Lakeview Drivers hold Dangerous goods approvals for road transport, Dangerous Goods declarations are always completed and kept in the drivers door.

HUEY HUEY Everyone loves the sound of the Huey and this machine means business!!! The Bell Huey is our lifting machine, this helicopter is capable of 1700kg Lifts and suits large fertilizer jobs and Fire Operations. We do use this machine on power pole assignments for the Lines co also. This helicopter is not currently configured for spray operations.

These are some of the more common tasks that the helicopter will be given we have also lifted designer fireplaces, Spa pools and pre formed swimming pools into position. Our JCB Loader is equipped with a load cell to accurately weigh loads and our aircraft are also equipped with load cells to accurately weigh the load below. This prevents any overloading and keeps track of valuable product ensuring correct spread rates.
TRAINING Lakeview Helicopters operates under a CAA approved training manual. Mark Williams is an E Cat Instructor and is able to perform agricultural ratings and annual company checks. Bruce Lilburn holds a D Cat instructor rating and is able to provide role training and aircraft ratings. Bruce also holds an approval to assess the Helicopter Safety Unit standards 423 and 20388.

Lakeview 800L This collapsible bucket is an effective bucket for fire fighting and is collapsible for transport. Combined to the AS350B2 helicopter this is a very effective fire fighting tool
Bambi 1000L This rapid deployment bucket is fast to fill and effective to use with a torrent of water being released within seconds the Bambi is a very effective fire fighting tool. Coupled to the AS350B3E this is an ultimate combination to strike fast to get fires under control.
Lakeview 1500L This collapsible bucket, with the ability to be carried in the machine to and from the fireground. With 1500L of water hitting the fire you will see a very effective knockdown when things are getting out of control. This is bucket is paired with our medium HUEY helicopter.
