However, they clamor for children’s Bible story-telling, English potable drinking water and livelihood and literacy teaching, curative services, programs. The local missionary in

Hernani, Pastor Brian, enthusiastically visited the homes for possible home bible studies. Five local churches in Eastern Samar were challenged to partner with MAP to go through the primary health care training. A burden in our hearts is to continue visiting the Mangyan and Ayta believers empowered to share the Gospel. Moreover, we aim to equip them to become competent in discipling their own people and grow to be a worshipping community.

We celebrated “OVERFLOW: A Christmas Gift-giving to the Tribes” that ministered to 1125 families and shared the Gospel to 5000 individuals among Mangyan, Dumagat, Aeta,

Igorot, and Muslim friends. We covet your prayers and unwavering partnership in accomplishing our plans for this year: Preparation for CB-HELP training program in Coron, and Balabac, Palawan, and Pangasinan. Singawan- on going TB Treatment for 30 children; for complete compliance, Family Health Workers training and discipleship/mentoring of believers. Hernani- need for potable drinking water and relevant livelihood projects; to open homes for bible studies; and CB-HELP training phase 2 for 5 churches. Aguinaldo, Ifugao- a triad partnership of MAP, Aguinaldo LGUs and 21 churches in restoring the Hilgendorf Memorial Clinic for special medical services, a small laboratory for herbal medicines, BHW’s refresher training and CB-HELP training programs. Challenge more medical and nursing students and professionals to join the Operation Samaria on July

We thank you for being a part of this ministry in every way. May you continue to journey with us this 2016 in Aguinaldo, Ifugao.

2016!

His Word of life. In closing, let me quote the words of Paul addressed to the Philippian church, a message to all of us. “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.” (Phil. 1:9 NIV)

Conduct an intentional and contextualized discipleship program for Mangyan, Aeta, and Dumagat believers. Revision and development of MAP training modules for health workers training and child-to-child health education. More volunteers who eventually consider full time commitment. God’s wisdom, joy, strength and perseverance of MAP workers to implement all these activities. Above all, God’s overflowing blessings as we endeavor to journey this year on an in-depth walk through

UPDATE ON DR. ELMA SARMEINTO: "After she suffered a stroke, the Lord is doing wonders for "Mommy Elma".. She is now starting to communicate verbally, slowly but weakly, can recognize her visitors and smiles a lot. She is now able to move her right lower limb and flex her knee. Her appetite is good. She can eat most anything without problems in swallowing but takes water by little sips through a straw. Let's continue to pray for her recovery.” - Dr. Eli Sarmiento

JOURNEYING TOGETHER by Ptr. Ray and Tess Calupig

The year 2015 is another milestone in my life’s journey. I resigned from my fourteen years of full time pastoral work in Pampanga, thinking of retiring for good at the age of 61. But God has another plan for me- to return to my first ministry- missions. After 3 months of resting and seeking God’s confirmation I was finally back at MAP doing spiritual care, counseling, and mentoring MAP staff and also pastors and leaders of partner churches in our field areas. They are my new congregations. From the comfort of established pastoral ministry to the challenges of mission work in the mountains, this is where I am today. Why did I return? MAP is a challenging ministry with long hours of travel and mountain trekking, a holistic medical and spiritual care medambassadors.org

ministry to the indigenous people groups, and lastly a family where you can seek comfort and care. As we journey together in life and ministry, my wife and I are thankful to the Lord that He sent us back to our first ministry. . . missions! To Him be the glory!!
