what kind of negotiation was done?

There is another open chapter in the process on relations between State and the Mafia and concerns the Italian businessman and politician Silvio Berlusconi. In the first among the condemned we find Marcello Dell’Utri, founder of the political movement “Forza Italia” with Mr. Berlusconi. According to the judges, Mr.Berlusconi would have paid mafia bosses for protection through Dell’Utri. After years of a close friendship between the two, in the past few days Berlusconi has refused to testify in favor of his friend Dell’Utri letting him to his fate. We do not exclude it that Dell’Utri can now take revenge by telling what he knows about any relationship between the head of Forza Italia and Cosa Nostra. The process will continue in the coming months.
