Malta: visited by gods, loved by empires, and famous for its warm hospitality. Its 316Km² make it one of the world’s smallest states. However, Malta boasts an incredible history dating thousands of years. Its megalithic Temples are older than the Pyramids of Egypt or Stonhenge, and remain some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. Malta has always been an island of strategic importance. It was occupied by a succession of empires, including the Phoenicians, the Carthaginians, the Romans, the Arabs, the Normans, the Aragonese, the Knights of St. John, the French and the British. Today, Malta is 8
