KUWAIT

THE 36TH SUSTAINMENT BRIGADE COMMANDER, COL Carrie Perez (far left) and Command Sergeant Major Ernesto Castillo (far right), recognized three of their most creative Soldiers on Task Force Phoenix for stepping up and volunteering to design and produce one of the most exceptional displays of unit pride. SPC Jessica Rogers (center left), SPC Jaqueline Rivera (inside left), and SPC Patrick Anderson (inside right) spent countless hours of their own time creating this lasting piece of the Phoenix legacy that the unit will leave behind upon their return to the States. This is significant because this is the last rotation that units will be authorized to paint these concrete “T-wall” barriers to show pride in their respective unit. THE 136TH AIRLIFT WING CAPTAIN’S CUP SOFTBALL SQUAD scored a thrilling 17-16 victory over their arch nemesis, the Navy FRC/ASD/MALS team, for the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base championship in late September. This Navy team knocked out the 136th AW in the 2019 playoffs, ending their repeat hopes, as well as having beaten them earlier this season. The win secures a second title in the last three attempts for the 136th AW (2020 and 2021 seasons were suspended for COVID-19). (Photo by MSgt Julie Briden-Garcia)
