La struttura di Medici con l’Africa CUAMM è giuridicamente integrata all’interno della Fondazione “Opera San Francesco Saverio”. Il bilancio, pur essendo unico, si compone dei risultati delle tre attività svolte: Fondazione, ONGONLUS e Collegio universitario. Gli indici e i grafici di seguito riportati rappresentano esclusivamente le attività della ONG-ONLUS per l’anno 2013. Nel 2013 gli interventi di Medici con l’Africa CUAMM nei paesi in cui opera sono costati 12.947.905 euro. Di questi oltre l’85,8% (11.109.339 euro) è stato investito direttamente nei progetti di cooperazione principali realizzati e nel centinaio di micro realizzazioni di supporto attuale. Il restante è stato impiegato per sostenere costi di funzionamento (7,7%) e di sensibilizzazione, comunicazione e raccolta fondi (6,5%). I beneficiari diretti e indiretti delle iniziative sono specificati progetto per progetto, e all’interno della sezione “focus ospedali” di pagina 64. È stato possibile raggiungerli grazie alla dedizione e all’impegno delle centinaia di collaboratori locali e dei 168 cooperanti inviati. Lo staff centrale, inoltre, è stato affiancato da centinaia di volontari in tutta Italia.
The organization, Doctors with Africa CUAMM, is legally an integral part of the “Opera San Francesco Saverio” Foundation. This single balance sheet actually consists of the results of three activities: the Foundation, the not-for-profit NGO and the University College. The indexes and graphs presented herein refer solely to the work of the not-for profit NGO for the year 2013. In 2013, the cost of interventions in the countries where Doctors with Africa CUAMM operates amounted to 12,947,905 euros. Of this total, 85.8% (11,109,339 euros) was directly invested in the Organization’s key cooperation projects and in hundreds of ongoing microsupport activities. The remaining amount was used to cover operating costs (7.7%) and awareness-building, communications and fund-raising costs (6.5%). The direct and indirect beneficiaries of the actions are indicated in the descriptions of the respective projects and in the Focus on hospitals section. These were reached thanks to the dedication and commitment of hundreds of local workers and 168 expatriate aid workers. Head office staff was supported by hundreds of volunteers throughout Italy.
