‫روزنامة ‪٧‬‬ ‫مسابقة ومعرض فنون بصرية من مصر‬ ‫مدرار‪ ،‬تاون هاوس‪ ،‬مشربية‬ ‫من ‪ ٣‬إلى ‪ ٣٠‬أبريل ‪٢٠١٩‬‬ ‫روزنامة هي مسابقة ومعرض سنوي للفنون البصرية المعاصرة للفنانين الشباب المصريين‬ ‫تسعى تلك المسابقة لتشجيع أعمال ذات محتوى إبداعي معاصر ومختلف عن طرق‬ ‫صناعة الفن التقليدية التي يتم تلقينها فى أكاديميات الفنون‪ ،‬بإتاحة مساحة للتجريب‬ ‫والبحث وانتاج األعمال ذات الوسائط المختلفة والمتعددة‪ ،‬وتهتم أيضًا روزنامة باألعمال‬ ‫الفنية التي تستخدم الوسائط المعروفة مثل التصوير والنحت والفوتوغرافيا ذات األفكار‬ ‫الطليعية‪ ،‬تسعى روزنامة لتكون منصة تتيح من خاللها التعرف ومتابعة األعمال الفنية‬ ‫المتميزة والفنانين الشباب من مصر ودعمهم بكل السبل المتاحة‪.‬‬ ‫بعد استراحة العام الماضي‪ ،‬تعود روزنامة ‪ ٧‬لفتح آفاق جديدة بتقديم فنانين مصريين‬ ‫شباب يطورون ممارسات تجريبية‪ .‬لقد استقبلنا في هذه الدورة من روزنامة أكثر من‬ ‫أربعمائة مشترك وهو أكبر عدد من االشتراكات حتى اآلن‪ .‬تم اختيار ستة وخمسين عم ً‬ ‫ال‬ ‫ليتم عرضهم في ثالثة قاعات عرض في وسط المدينة وهي‪ :‬مدرار للفن المعاصر‪،‬‬ ‫وتاون هاوس‪ ،‬ومشربية (قاعة األنيكس)‪ .‬اجتازت األعمال المختارة نظامًا انتقائيًا من‬ ‫الوسائط والمواضيع والمفاهيم لتنتج معرضًا متعددًا ومختلفًا بشكل استثنائي‪ .‬يتألف‬ ‫المشاركون من خلفيات مختلفة على حد سواء ليشملوا فنانين في منتصف مسيرتهم‬ ‫المهنية وطالب ومبتدئين‪ .‬تقدم األعمال المعروضة قفزة إلى عالم واسع األفق من‬ ‫اإلنتاج الفني الذى يحدث فى القاهرة فى وقتنا الحالي‪.‬‬

Roznama 7 Visual Arts Competition & Exhibition from Egypt Medrar, Townhouse, Mashrabia From 3 to 30 April, 2019 Roznama is a periodical competition and exhibition for contemporary visual art by young Egyptians.

The competition’s objective is to encourage creative contemporary art works, which are different from the orthodox forms taught at art academies. This is achieved through providing a space for experimentation, research, and mixed media and multimedia production. Roznama also takes interest in traditional art forms, such as painting, sculpting, and avant-garde photography. Roznama aspires to become a platform that presents distinguished art works, introducing artists from Egypt and supporting them by all possible means.

This year, Roznama received over four hundred applications, the largest submission count to date. Out of the works, fifty six were selected to be exhibited across three primary art spaces across downtown Cairo: Medrar for Contemporary Art, Townhouse Gallery, and Mashrabia Gallery (Annex). The works selected traverse an array of mediums, themes, and concepts, resulting in an exceptionally varied exhibition. Participants are comprised of diverse backgrounds, including mid-career professional artists, students, and novices. The works on display offer a glimpse into the broad range of artistic production taking place in Cairo today.

ً ‫ُنمط األشياء ويُقولب األشخاص محو‬ ‫ال األحاسيس إلى إشارات‬ ّ ‫يستيقظ الفنان يوميًا لي‬ ‫ لعبة فيديو أم واقع؟ حلم أم‬.‫لينتهي كل ما هو حسي وواقعي إلى أنماط بصرية‬ ‫يوم كغيره؟ أيمكنه االستيقاظ؟ ما هي عواقب األفعال؟ أيمكنه اعادة المحاولة؟‬ .‫يقرر قضاء يوم مع نبتته المنزلية بمنظوره الرقمي لألشياء لإلجابة على هذة األسئلة‬ The artist wakes up every morning and puts things and people in patterns and moulds. In his process, he turns all the feelings to signals, so that everything that is real ends up as a visual pattern. Is this work a video game or reality?

Is it another day or something else? Can he wake up? What are the consequences? Can he try again? The artist decides to spend a day with his plant to answer those questions from a digital point of view.

What is the story what is the theater? How could the audience have an active part in the artwork? The artist›s goal is to make viewers aware of their point of view and their inner feelings to discover whether they are connected with their surroundings, with people or whether they are aware of the bodies› location of the spaces? How would identity determine culture, language and religion?

Where does identity come from? Identity is one of those words that seems obvious but is mostly a fake friend.

‫األمر كله مرتبط بالوسيط وليس المحتوي! في هذا العمل الفني يحاول الفنان‬ ‫معالجة الصراعات الداخلية الناتجة من تربية أبواه له أثناء فترة الطفولة بما شملته‬ ‫خلل ما في التواصل بينهم عن طريق إعادة تعريف‬ ‫من سوء للفهم الناتج من‬ ٍ .‫عالقتهم من خالل إقامة عالقة بين صورهم العائلية القديمة والجليتش آرت‬ ‫إلي أي مدي نملك نحن البشر السيطرة علي التكنولوجيا التي نستخدمها؟ وإلي أي مدي‬ ،‫يمتلك اآلباء حق التحكم في أبناءهم؟ ما الذي يهم في نهاية األمر عند تنشئة األبناء‬ ‫هل شخصيتهم في نهاية األمر كأفراد بالغين أم عملية التنشئة نفسها؟ في عملية‬ ‫إنتاج الجليتش آرت ما الذي يهم أكثر؛ الصورة الجمالية النهائية للعمل الفني أم عملية‬ ‫إنتاج العمل الفني؟‬ It’s all about the medium, not the content! In this artwork, the artist attempts to repair the inner conflicts experienced by his parents during his childhood, in all its misunderstandings which are linked to a deficiency in communication The artist does this by redefining his relationship with his parents by setting up a connection of our family photos through glitch art. How far could we, humans. control technology? How far is parents’ right to control their children?

What matters eventually when bringing up children, is it their character as adults or is it the process itself? In the process of making glitch art, what matters the most, the aesthetics of the artwork or the process itself?

Realism is not reality, it’s the aesthetic tension created between reality and its representation. A tension that often deals directly with how to make the familiar- the every-day-strange. When ‘’the Still Life ‘’ is functioning at its most provocative manner, it is not only the objects themselves that are weird, but the sense of the real that is called into question. One begins to think differently about all the objects that populate the world within reach, the world that is on the table right in front of you, in the present time.

‫قصة عن مولود من برج السرطان اكتشف اكتئابه وهو في سن السادسة من عمره‬ ‫وتعرف على العائلة واألصدقاء وقرر االنتحار حتى وصل األمل له من جديد وبعدها‬ .‫ذهب ذلك األمل وعاد في االنتحار البطئ مرة أخرى حتى تمكن من اإلنتحار أخيرًا‬

This artwork tells the story of a Cancer-Born young boy who discovered his depression when he was six years old. He goes on to meet his family and friends and decides to commit suicide until a new hope reaches him. After that, the hope goes away, and he slowly tries to commit suicide, until he eventually does it.

‫ كيف يتم قياس مرور‬.‫دائما لماذا لم يعد لديه ما يكفي من الوقت‬ ‫يتساءل الفنان‬ ً ‫الوقت؟ هل يمكن إنشاء وحدات لقياس الوقت وإدراكه وجعله يمر ببطء؟ يعرض‬ ً ‫طرقا بديلة لقياس الوقت وإدراكه من خالل مقاطع تعرض محاوالت‬ ‫الفيديو األول‬ ‫ ويعرض مقطع الفيديو الثاني نتائج‬.‫متعددة في رصد أنماط مختلفة الحركة‬ ‫ مع أشخاص مقيمين هناك عن كيفية إدراكهم‬،‫استطالع رأي تم إجراءه في زيوريخ‬ .‫وتعاملهم مع الوقت وماذا يمثل لهم ووضع هذه اآلراء كمرجع خاص للمشروع‬ The Artist wonders why he no longer has enough time? How can one measure time flow? Could it be possible to manufacture ‘Time measuring’ units to measure time, realise its flow and make it pass slower? This video suggestes alternative ways to measure time and make it concouse through tapes that showing multipe attempts to detect different motion patterns. The second video shows the results of a poll the artist conducted on some inhabitants in Zurich. The poll was about what time represents to them and and how they realize time flow and how they deal with it and i used their opinions as a refrence for this project.

‫ سم تم محاولة تحطيمها او كسرها‬10* ‫سم‬10 ‫كل قطعة زجاجية مقاس‬ ‫ تماما مثل االنسان‬.‫ مستخدما شاكوش كل مرة بوضع مختلف‬.‫بطريقة مختلفة‬ ‫ سواء‬.‫يتم محاولة تحطيمه بطرق مختلفة و كل واحد ينكسر بشكل مختلف‬ ‫ كذلك الزجاج يمكن ان يصبح‬.‫ او يكتئب او يفقد الرغبة في االشياء‬، ‫يصبح عصبي‬ .‫متماسك ولكن مشروخ من الداخل او اصبح متفتت تماما ال يتبقى منه شيئا سليم‬ Each 10×X 10 cm piece of glass is attempted to be broken or cracked in a different way, using a hammer every time with a different method. These pieces of glass are exactly like man in the attempt to crack him in different ways.

Each man cracks differently, whether he becomes uptight, depressed, or ascetic in all the things. Glass could seem to be consistent, yet fragile internally.

Perhaps it becomes shattered and eventually nothing remains.

‫ «أنا لست فنانة مشهورة‬:‫ تقول الفنانة‬.‫ال يعرف معظم الناس أنه ال بأس من كونك ال أحد‬ .»‫ أعمالى الفنية ليس لها بيانات رنانة لمشاركتها أو معان ٍعميقة تمنحها‬،‫وكذلك لوحاتي‬ ‫ تضع‬،‫إنها مهتمة بالصور العائلية القديمة حيث تلتقط عواطف ُأنساها و يتم حفظها‬ ‫كل أحاسيس الصور الشخصية فى منظور لوحاتها المعاصرة عن طريق استخدام‬ .‫الوسيط المفضل إليها وهو ألوان الزيت التي تكشف أحاسيسها و قصصها بصريًا‬ Most people don’t know that it’s okay to be nobody. The artist claims: “I’m not a famous artist nor my paintings. My artworks don’t have a statement to share nor a deep meaning to give. ”The work displays old family photos in order to show the people’s feelings and emotions as they are captured and frozen. The artist paints all the portraits’ emotions in her own contemporary perspective by using her preferred medium, oil painting, to reveal the emotions and stories visually.

The second part consists of audio encounters accompanied with photographic images. The conversations reflect on three different experiences of arts and cultural practitioners from the Egyptian and regional scenes. This part questions and analyses the challenges faced within the current models of arts and cultural institutions and their modes of productions. It also speaks of different initiatives that try to find alternative ways of producing and circulating artworks. In its third part, the project aspires to imagining and applying future models that we could build together, including not only arts and cultural practitioners, but also extending to those who suffer from similar economical politics that affect their work.

Leaving the Isolated Room-Digital Art

‫ما هي المساحات المتاحة لهذا الجسد للتحرك؟ ما هي الحدود؟ البيت بشكله الضيق والمحدود‬ ‫الذي يتكون من سقف وأربع حوائط ؟ أو بشكله األوسع كالمدينة والشارع والمجتمع؟ الجسد‬ ،‫ النوم‬،‫كغرفة منعزلة تنحبس بداخلها األنفاس المتراكمة في الممارسات اليومية للحياة‬ ‫ الجسد كماكينة تعرف‬،‫ دون أثر واضح للتفاعل مع تلك الحياة‬،‫ الذهاب إلى العمل‬،‫االستيقاظ‬ ‫ ويرتفع صوت العجز‬،‫ فيرتفع صوت األلم‬.‫ أو يُنسى‬،‫ نتناساه‬،‫ ال تفكير‬،‫بالضبط ما الواجب فعله‬ .‫لمعرفة أسباب هذا األلم‬ What is the available space for the body to move? What are its borders?

Home, with its narrow form consisting of a cellar and four walls? Or is it a wider form like street, city and society? The body resembles an isolated room in which a build up of breaths is produced during every-day activities: sleeping, waking up, going to work are done with no signal of interaction with that life. The body becomes an automatic machine which knows and does exactly what needs to be done, without thinking. We forget about it, and therefore the sound of pain arouses, and the sound of helplessness arouses even louder to figure out the cause of that pain.

What is the Shape of the New Organs with which Creatures will replace their original organs in a great evolutionary process? Will the Human kind go extinct? We are facing a problem in the present that the Human Body rejects the Animal Organ cells.

Furthermore, the Earth’s climate results in Cellular Evolution to make cells combine. Are we going to be Illness-Free creatures? Are Humans going to be extinct after their cells combine with Animal cells?

These weapons are mostly shaped as methods built to mess up with the mind, remove or manipulate human memory. These artworks either inspire their context of reality or build a fantasy affecting that reality, and mostly reality is highly affected by those artworks. Science and Technology are employed to make these weapons in attempt to bring it to real life by authorities for example. This project discusses the usage of weapons at wars for Genocides.

The ultimate scenario is setting up spaces for discussion where each of the attendees is an active participant. Most of those spaces are drawing from recurring situations in real life where conversations occurs naturally. It then looks more into the incentive for the success of these spaces in stirring the conversation.

These small booklets are more of cookbooks, each comprises of ingredients to come up with different spatial settings. It plays around with mundane elements that can be easily found at your disposal, from seating arrangements to different types of tables, to bringing in food and other extras as well as backdrops and other scenographic elements.

This work links heroism to the delusional concepts that surround societies which change people’s beliefs with time in order to serve political matters in the Modern World. In this project, the artwork reappropriates the 1980s video game “Space Invaders”, as the history of video games is linked to a huge industry, both politically and through capitalism. Through the video game the artist traces its effect on millions of people and various generations starting from the 80’s till now.

This artwork consists of 16 paintings that illustrate the Butterfly Effect theory through the changing anatomy of the human skull. That effect results by making small changes in each painting, so that the human shape changes and falls apart to become something else. This process is what happens to our lives through the changes we decide and as a result, changes our existence, character and concepts, in return they change our society and future.

This project presents an easy and fast service to a consuming society that claims happiness, where every desire and motivation to be generous falls apart, even to call for feelings! In a consuming society, we have everything you’re looking for, packaged neatly, and effectiveness is guaranteed and determined.

Graduating from college symbolizes a leap into “Adult Life”. This can seem to be a relief, as it's a release from studying, from all nighter stress, and a very tight budget. It is a major transition confronted with a painful emotional state: post-graduation depression. Symptoms of post-graduation depression include an abnormally negative perspective, decreased motivation to get out of bed, a general sense of hopelessness and, occasionally, substance abuse.

‫تضع أنثى حصان البحر بويضاتها داخل الذكر و الذى جسده مهىء لهذه العمليه بشكل‬ ‫ عبر تبادل تلك القواعد التى تبدو‬.‫ فذكور أحصنة البحر تتصرف كإناث البشر‬،‫طبيعي‬ ‫بديهيه يبدل هذا المشروع الفكرة التقليدية لمسابقة األم المثالية بمسابقة األب المثالي‬ ‫والتى يظهر فيها التفهم االجتماعي للفكرة الموروثة عن االم ولكن هذه المرة األب هو‬ .‫بطل هذه المسابقة وليست األم‬ When mating, the female seahorse lays her eggs inside the poch of the male seahorse which it is equipped with. So the male seahorse acts the same as the mother/woman in human beings. Through the switching these seemingly obvious roles, this project replaces “the Ideal Mother” contest with a competition for “the Ideal Father”,in which, the social understanding of the inherited image about the mother is clear. Only this time, the father is the champion of the competition, not the mother.

There are moments that fly by and others that never seem to end. Life is breath, feelings, actions, time and so many things all dancing together. Life is one big sonata.

Sonallah Ibrahim in ‘’Living and Dying in a Colorful sea’’ details: precise taste buds spread over the head and the exterior body, allowing it to distinguish between different tastes before the mouth devours them.

That entity is diverse, and characterized by totality, diversity, unit and sturdiness at the same time. Its different, yet the united parts have center points that represent spots of weaknesses, responsible for the body's survival, growth and continuation, in a number of hybrid forms. These terms make the artist reconsider what is called 'the Body' and its numerous forms, and to question the relationship between what is completely physical and what is emotional, and those hybrid architectural buildings that contains layers of diversity, unit, and fragile emotional coherence.

‫ ومطبوعات‬،‫ بروجكجين على الحائط‬،‫ مم‬١٦ ،‫هو عمل مركب يتكون من ديجيتال فيديو‬ ُ ‫ناتجة من بحث عن لجنة مصرية‬ ‫ من قبل‬2011 ‫ يناير‬25 ‫شكلت بعد أيام قليلة من ثورة‬ ‫الحكومة المصرية تحت إشراف األرشيف الوطني المصري من أجل الحفاظ على «اللحظة‬ ‫» حاولت اللجنة إطالق حملة على الصعيد الوطني لتسجيل التاريخ الشفوي‬.‫الثورية‬ ،‫ لكن بعد سلسلة من المفاوضات وتغيرات االحداث‬،‫وجمع شهادات من شهدوا األحداث‬ ‫ يأخذ هذا العمل هذه المحاولة والمادة التي أنتجتها من‬.‫تفككت اللجنة وماتت المحاولة‬ ،‫ ومادة تصويرية كنقطة انطالق ليخلق مساحة ما بين الفشل واإلحتمال‬،‫ شهادات‬،‫وثائق‬ .‫ وما بين الذكرى والحدث‬،‫ما بين الحقيقة والخيال‬ Installation comprised of a digital video (16 mm) and prints that take cue from an archival attempt formed by the Egyptian government in 2011 to preserve the revolution. The committee tried to launch a campaign nationally to record the verbal history and witnesses of those who attended the events, however after the following events, the committee split up and the attempt was in vain.

This artwork takes that attempt and the documented content as a starting point to create a space between failure and possiblities, between truth and fantasy, between memory and event.

‫«الكبسولة» هي مساحة احتواء مزدحمة بداخلها يفترض الجميع رابطة إفتراضية وطيدة بين‬ ،‫بعضهم البعض لذا من حق كل منهم إفراغ ما بداخله سواء برضا اآلخر أو رغمًا عن إرادة اآلخرين‬ ‫ دقيقة‬۱۲ ‫ مراحل متتالية مدتها‬٤ ‫ هي رحلة صوتية مكونة من‬.‫هناك ال وجود للحدود الشخصية‬ ‫ تمحورت الممارسة الفنية لهذا المشروع خالل مدة الستة أشهر حول‬.‫في شكل عرض صوتي‬ ‫الضوضاء خاصة في المدن الكبرى مثل القاهرة حتى توصلت‬/‫البحث الصوتي في معنى الضجيج‬ ‫ خاصة ما تكشفه األحاديث والمشاجرات‬،)‫إلى أكثر مكان مثير لالهتمام بالنسبة لها (محطة مترو‬ / ‫التي تحدث في عربة المترو من العالقات االجتماعية بين األشخاص الغرباء وكيفية تواصلهم‬ . ‫تفاعلهم مع بعضهم البعض داخل هذه المساحة في حياتهم اليومية‬ The Capsule is a crowded space of containment in which everyone assumes a strong bond of connection among one another so that each and every single one of them has the right to empty what lies inside of them on others, whether that 'other' approved or refused. This is a space where there are no personal borders.It's is a sound journey consisting of 4 sequential processes during 12 minutes in the form of a sound display. The artistic practice of this project comes from sound research into the meaning of noise, especially in big cities like Cairo where the artist focuses on ''the Underground station''. Further, the artist reveals what the conversations that take place at the Underground reveal about the social relationships among strangers and how they communicate and interact with each other inside that specific space of their lives.

Scenes in this video are recurrent scenes of the artist’s daily life that repeat themselves so monotonously that sometimes it leads to a self-acting performance. The work recalls some incompatible subjects that one pursues, such as the conflict between the attempt to satisfy everyone, including parents, and the pursuit of self-sufficiency and other goals which could lead one to run in multiple directions at the same moment.

This project discovers the values that have been build up for a long time by society and analyzes how the translations and concepts of these values vary and change as time passes. This work presents a re-imagining of how these gods are still being worshiped in our life in a modern figures, considering that these figures choice-making in the Life of the Egyptian People.

This work attempted to construct a world from a preexisting one through a multiple iterations on a 360 degree photograph, accompanied with a text collage from different mobile and computer apps. Bringing notions of space abstraction, corporate and real-estate ideology. The fast multilayered altered perception of our physical reality through spectacles and the technological acceleration, and the contradiction between the constant flattening of the physical reality and the striving desire to construct a new reality in virtual sphere”.

In this work, a raw conversation takes place on the phone between two close friends, that starts out with a question about humanity. The flow of the conversation covers most aspects of human life and identity. Throughout the conversation, the viewer embarks on an audiovisual simulation or portraiture of what is being explained, forming a multidimensional notion of what makes us human, or what a human is.

A series of paintings reflects an ongoing process of existential questioning - excluding spiritual and religious theories. They probe the physical and psychological aspects of dehumanization, as they fall on different points of the loop between life and death. If the mind and body are in contradicting states of functionality, what is it that makes a human count as ‘alive’? Who is less human; a victim of torture, the torturer, or those who came to watch?

The sculptures being exhibited are related to construction and the universe of souvenirs.

This artowrk is an attempt to find a virtual relationship between man and public spaces. This project is built by the audience, who determine and document the relationship between themselves and the Public Spaces that they pass by on a daily basis, or even visit to document a state of mind.

‫ اذهب ربنا معك» بدأت رحلة الفنان المجهولة عندما وصل للكشف‬، ‫«ال تخف إن شاء اهلل خير‬ ‫الطبي وبعد ساعات من االنتظار مليئة بالدعاء أن يرزقه اهلل إعفاءًا من الخدمة العسكرية‬ ‫ بعد مرور ما يقارب األحد عشرة ساعة انتهت الرحلة‬.‫لما كان يعانيه من مشاكل صحيه‬ ‫ إسعاف وكف به إصبع مكسور سمع نفس الجمله ولكن بنبرة‬،‫ مكالمة‬،‫حادث‬. »‫ب «الئق‬ ‫ ساعات تنتقل روحه إلي الجنة ويختم له ولها في نفس‬٤‫مختلفة « التخف» وبعد مرور‬ .»‫» *هذا المشروع مهدى إلي روح والدة الفنان الغالية رحمها اهلل‬٢٠١٨/٨/١٨ ‫اليوم ب «الئق‬ “Don’t be afraid, god is willing the good, go , may god be with you” The artist’s anonymous trip started when he got to the Medical Examination of the Army Forces, after a number of waiting hours full of praying to get a dispensation from army service. 11 hours later, the trip ended up with ‘qualified’. An accident, a phone call, an ambulance and a broken finger. He hears the same word in different tone: ‘’Don’t be afraid’’. 4 hours later, his soul is transferred to heaven. “Both of me an her get the qualified” stamp, 18th August 2018.

This project is dedicated to the soul of the artist’s mother, may god be merciful with her.

Everything and its opposite has a big impact in our constant and renewing needs, and since we live in a universe that is in the shape of a circle, we find that man, animal and even plant are either soft or rough, strong or weak, lurid or calm. Perhaps all of us come from a single source, and feel, suffer and rejoice together. If it was that way, why don’t we create relationships that join these items and enhance the feeling.

It reveals how we react to the surrounding natural landscape, and how we use nutrition to produce new cells. The most important properties of life are added on the drawings and shapes through moving, and the different stages are personified as creatures that reproduce, eat and prey to continue the circle of life. The unit of the creation of all of us is the cell. The artist uses more than one medium to express that state to get to that world with all of our senses.

The “Padron Real” was an unfinished map of the world, and served as the official and secret Spanish master map used as a template for all Spanish ships. Since it’s an original copy, the map was further developed by all returning ships who reported any details of new lands or discoveries they had made. Mapmaking was a huge enterprise at the time, a large number of cosmographers, cartographers, archeivists and record keepers were involved in managing the Padron Real. The map represented defected drawing of the discovered lands. The cartographers lacking technology, placed lakes and coastlines inaccurately.

Using a few minimalistic lines and strokes of brushes to depict the memorable architecture of Egypt’s capital city, the work reveals an energy and eeriness is no longer in the air.

He was assigned different roles in the ruling National Democratic Party where he eventually became its spokesman and the champion of the intended economic reforms and liberalizations to take place. His grooming was carefully tailored with a set of constitutional alterations along with his increasingly appearance in the state-controlled media. Posters of his supporting campaigns has spread across Egypt promoting the president’s son as the country’s next reformist leader. Using carbon transfer and ink to illustrate archival photos on sewing patterns, the aim of this work is to re-investigate how these grooming procedures were being tailored.

The initial five drawings of the rooms are drawn from observation, but then developed as the artist started associating specific family events from memory with each room setting. The animation plots the build up, smudges and erasures of the marks from one frame to the other reflecting on how events are non-linear and layered in real life and how the past haunts the present through memory. The work intends to depict the opposing senses of both absence and presence, seclusion and belonging, and joy and sorrow.

‫ التي تعني اإلدراك‬aisthesia ‫تستمد فكرة العمل من الجماليات مستمدة من الكلمات اليونانية‬ ‫وهي عملية يقوم العقل اإلنساني من خاللها بإضفاء المعنى أو خلعه على المدركات الحسية‬ ‫التي يتلقاها ومن ضمنها التأتأة كمظهر من مظاهر القلق أو تعبير عن حالة القلق النفسي الذي‬ ‫ مثل قلق الموقف والذي ينشأ عن الخوف من الكالم وعدم القدرة علي‬.‫يعاني منه المتلعثم‬ ‫تقبل هذا الشعور في مواقف كالمية ومثيرات غير لفظية تتمثل في نوع المستمع من حيث‬ .‫السن والجنس وعالقة المستمع بالمتلعثم‬ The concept of this artwork is inspired from the Greek word ' aisthesia' which means consciousness, which is a process with which the human brain adds or takes the meaning off the sensibilities that it receives. An example of this is stammering as a form of concern or an expression of the state of anxiety that the stammer suffers from.

The fear of the situation which emerges is the fear of talking and inability to accept this feeling in conversations and non-verbal stimulants represented in the listener, his age, gender and the relation between the listener and the stammer.

Does the narrative need another narrative to understand itself? Could the personal narrative revolve on the local narrative and the biggest narrative without killing itself? This handbook is trying to figure out answers to those questions through narration by tracking the conflict of the story entitled “As long as she is alive’’. In order to understand herself by trying to create the early (yet known) forms of the story, the protagonist tries to escape the solution, since the solution constrains her.

Sometimes mysterious things happen to boats and no one is left to tell the story of what happened to the vessel and its passengers. These mysterious incidents resemble all the things that the artist doesn’t understand about herself. A boat is like a place inside her, where there are lots of forgotten memories, worries, fears and wishes. This is a place that she is searching for and doesn’t have any clue where and how to find it.

The physicality of these little adventurous activities, their randomness, and penchant for absurdity are captured within a timeless space. This panoramic figurative botanical composition invites the viewer to maneuver and engage in that layer of playfulness. A world of skewed daydreams that lurks just beneath the familiar.

‫يستكشف المشروع العالقة بين عملية اإلنتاج الفني وتاريخ الصناعة فى مصر وعالقتها بالتغيرات‬ ‫ الفنان والنحات المصري ومؤسس «الشركة االلمانية المصرية‬.‫السياسية واالقتصادية في مصر‬ ‫للبورسلين فتحي محمود» والتي ما زالت تعمل عالميا حتى اليوم ومنتجاتها الموجودة في‬ ‫ وأثناء‬1955 ‫ عام‬.‫كل البيوت المصرية تقريبا وشعاره «الفن لماليين الناس» هو مرجع لهذا العمل‬ ‫الحقبة الناصرية دفعت الحكومة الى محمود لينحت عمال تذكاريا في جامعة القاهرة فى ذكرى‬ ‫ تظاهر الطالب حينها ضد التدخل البريطاني فى مصر‬.‫الحركة الطالبية فى الثالثينات واألربيعينات‬ ‫ البحث يسلط الضوء على إمكانية إعادة انتاج األعمال الفنية التاريخية باإلضافة‬.‫وسياسات الحكومة‬ .‫إلى طريقة تعبيرجديدة مستلهمة من مرجع بصري من مجموعة الخزف الخاصة بعائلة الفنانة‬ “The project explores the relationship between the history of industry in Egypt and the artist’s production process, and how this is affected by the political and economical changes in Egypt. Egypt’s foremost artists, sculptor Fathi Mahmoud, the Founder of “The Egyptian German Porcelain Company Fathi Mahmoud’’ still working globally till today and the company products are almost in every Egyptian house. Fathi Mahmoud’s vision of ‘Art for Millions of People’ is a reference in this project. In 1955 during the Nasser era, the regime commissioned Mahmoud to do a memorial built at Cairo University commemorating, the student protests of 1934-35 and 1945-46 protested against British interference in Egypt and the compliance by the Egyptian government.The research sheds light on the possibility to remakes historical artworks.

Additionally to new physical expression inspired by a visual reference from the Artist’s family domestic objects porcelain tableware set”.
