DANCE 4 LIFE NOW! ALL SET FOR DANCE 4 LIFE Kayth Ina and Shaine, collectively known as KIS, are all set for the fundraising concert, Dance 4 Life. “It’s the best way to end the year doing something good for others through what we love doing – singing,” tells Kayth, the youngest of the three. KIS has been involved in other fundraising events in the past, the most recent was in GigAlive for the victims of the Manila flooding that raised more than P100,000.00 that was donated to the Philippine National Red Cross. Asked on the concept of the show, Ina said, “We’ve selected the best in our repertoire of numbers plus more. We’ll have a costume change midway through the concert and we’re excited to introduce our latest original song, “Dance 4 Life”.” 2012 has been a busy time for KIS outside of their studies. Not only have they performed in some of the biggest Filipino gatherings in Auckland including the Sinulog Festival and in Ginang Kalayaan Beauty Pageant, they’ve also been taking serious vocal training from one of Auckland’s top vocal coaches, Ann de Guzman. Shaine shared, “What makes Dance 4 Life really cool is that we’ve discovered how people can be so giving. When we told friends of the project, they offered to help. We are most thankful to our parents who have given us support all the way. We offer this concert to all of them, and of course to the victims of Typhoon Pablo. Also to the hardworking volunteers and public servants, they’re heroes.” Joining KIS on stage are rapper Errin C with Alistair Serrao; SKSA: KPop Dance Crew;YFC Moses Wanted Crew; and Vince Sacay with Dicdic del Castillo. Cheenee and John Mandawe will do an acoustic number with KIS. Dance 4 Life featuring KIS & Friends will happen on December 23, 2012, 3:30pm at the Blockhouse Bay Community Centre, Blockhouse Bay Road, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland.

Editorial PRECIOUS Life is precious. The original song “Dance 4 Life” tackles the issue of the child in a mother’s womb. The first verse reads: “The world comes alive/At the birth of a child/Precious gift little one/Moulded by God’s hands.” It has become more relevant today when contraception and abortion have become acceptable in liberal countries in the world. It takes courage to be pro-life in this age and time. The all-girl group KIS must be commended for recording this pro-life song. In a secular nation like New Zealand, their bravery stands out. Kayth, Ina and Shaine are even taking their belief more public through the concert, Dance 4 Life. Not only are they spreading their pro-life message to an audience, they are also using the occasion as a way of raising funds to help victims of Typhoon Pablo that caused the death of more than 1,000 people in the Philippines in December 2012. The proceeds are for the vulnerable presently living in difficult circumstances and harsh conditions. These girls deserve our support. Let us lend our hands to them in their worthy causes. Let us join them in celebrating life in Dance 4 Life concert on December 23, 2012, 3:30pm in Blockhouse Bay Community Centre, Auckland. Yes life is precious, so are these girls.
