ROADSHOW GOES TO WAIKATO REGION On June 23, 2013, AyalaLand gave an investment briefing before twenty-five potential clients in Taupo, New Zealand. The activity was arranged by Debbie Libre, the company’s sales partner in New Zealand. International Property Specialist Mercy Lara assisted by Robert Sedano, both from Makati made the presentation on the various projects of AyalaLand throughout the Philippines, while presenter Mel B Libre updated the audience on the national economy and explained why it is the opportune time to invest in the Philippines. It was lucky for the team as the road towards Mt Ruapehu had opened, as this was cleared of heavy snow that fell during the week. (See photo at left) More lucky for the team as a freshly created huge snowman stood beside the road, allowing them to have a quick pose. The previous day, on June 22, the AyalaLand team had a whistle stop in Tokoroa, the fifth-largest town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand and largest settlement in the South Waikato district. (See photo at right) They dropped by Saint Pius X Parish where Fr Reno Alima serves as parish priest. It was a timely visit as a prayer-meeting among Filipino Catholics was held, allowing the team to give bits of information on AyalaLand projects. The team also made presentations in Tauranga and Hamilton, while at the same time, attended to clients in the Auckland area where several sales were closed. The Makati team expects to return to New Zealand in time for the Grand Filipino Reunion during Labour Weekend in October.
