PUTYUKANS BRING IN IMPORTS New Names for Tribus
Tribu Barangay Putyukan just can’t help but import players outside of Auckland. Last year, they got imports from Hamilton. For LingawDuwa2015, the team will get support from imports this time from Singapore. According to tribu spokesperson Chichi Abadingo because of shortage of members from Auckland, they invited friends from Hamilton who were former co-workers in AccountMate Philippines. Another co-worker with family intact will come fresh from the boat from Singapore in November. “Mga karaang bugoy sa guadalupe, hipodromo ug mandaue - na ga-abot”, laughs Chichi. How did you end up as Putyukans? Chichi answered, “The uniting factors are friendship and food I suppose. We all love eating and sharing our experiences - which led to the idea of the beehive concept.” For two tribus, a change in their names was announced. Defending champion Tribu Machong Baboy will now carry the monicker, TRIBU BAKTING KIAT (Anak ni Machong Baboy), while Tribu Sigbing Gahayang will henceforth be called TRIBU ENKANTONG BANGIS. Tribu leader Ching Mandawe upon the release of the new logo said, “BKK! Bakting Kiat Kyut!!! For her part tribu leader Jam Parado explained that the English translation of the team name is “the Fierce Fairies, determined, full of attitude and gorgeous at the same time... Sounds like us!” LingawDuwa invites Filipinos and non-Filipinos to witness the fun games on November 21, 2015 in Henderson Intermediate School, 70 Lincoln Road, Henderson, Auckland.
