BQQ IN FEAST To add excitement to the fifth anniversary of the founding of TawagAwit, the Bible Quotient Quiz (BQQ) will see teams from the different chapters competing as the inaugural champion. BQQ is one of the portions of the Teaching Nights conducted by Teachers in Sandals Fellowship, the sister ministry of TawagAwit. Bro Denis Tutaka, cst, will serve as Quiz Master. This year’s celebration of Food & Music FEAST will begin with the Thanksgiving Mass at 10:30am wherein the members of the different chapters are expected to sing their assigned parts. Fr Sam Pulanco, chaplain of the Auckland Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy, will officiate the Mass that is also intended for Bro Peter Gayaman, servant leader of the St Thomas More chapter, who will take his oath as Barrister in New Zealand on May 25, 2012 at the Auckland High Court.

We Need You TawagAwit invites you to help in spreading God’s Word through music and other acts of love. You can be a: (1) member; (2) supporter or (3) organizer A member is one who can attend to the regular activities of the Ministry. The minimum participation are: attendance during practice sessions of songs, usually once a week or once every two weeks AND singing with the group during the assigned mass usually once a month or once every two months.

Members are encouraged to bring their best dishes for participants to partake during the shared lunch. The program proceeds in the early afternoon with performances and reflections from select members. Recognition will be given to servant leaders or members who have given exemplary services to the ministry in the Inspirational Brethren Awards (IBA). As a build up to the event, FEAST NEWS, a weekly publication, has featured servant leaders on thoughts on the struggles and achievements of their respective chapters. The Food & Music FEAST will be held on Sunday May 27, 10:30am at the Blessed John Paul II Mass Centre, Gate 4, Massey University, Albany Highway, Auckland.

A supporter is one who can donate services or resources to the Ministry. There are special events that TawagAwit organizes and the events need finances or helping hands. An organizer is one who initiates the formation of a chapter in a parish. The Ministry will provide all the assistance within its means to help in the vital task.
