Welcome Kassandra When Bro Cyril and Sis Rose Bas joined TawagAwit in 2008, they confided to the group of their wish to have a child. Bro Mel B Libre, Lead Servant, told them that they would have a baby by December. It did not happen that year. In January 2010, Bro Cyril announced that Sis Rose was one month pregnant. On September 14, 2010 their beautiful baby girl was born in the North Shore Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand.

Nearly twenty TawagAwit members trooped to the Bas household in Albany, North Shore on September 19 to congratulate the couple for their first child, Kassandra Bas. The newly-minted father, Bro Cyril said that he has learned to adjust to the unusual waking hours of Kassandra, and that he is learning fast to attend to the needs of the baby, such as changing of diapers, preparing the milk, etc. For her part, Sis Rose who delivered through Caesarean method was thankful to the staff of the North Shore Hospital for their professionalism and care, and all of those who prayed for them and came to visit them. The couple said, "Kassandra is truly God's gift for us. She gives us joy and fulfillment of our ultimate dream to have a family and to celebrate Mother's and Father's day." Bro Cyril and Sis Rose serve as chapter coordinators of TawagAwit-St Mary’s Northcote chapter.
