SUPPORT FOR TABANG MANILA TawagAwit members actively participated in GigAlive-Tabang Manila, a fundraising concert organized by the Katilingbang Bisaya sa New Zealand. On August 26 at the Henderson Intermediate School, Auckland, nearly 200 people demonstrated their concern and help to the victims of the flooding that affected nearly a million people in Manila and other parts of Luzon. For its part, TawagAwit was represented by Our Lady of Lourdes Parish chapter whose members performed the Invocation Song, “Hope of the Broken World”. Bro Mel sang “My Favorite Things” with grandson Mr Jeydi, while T-Kids of St Mark’s Pakuranga had a creative dance number from DJ & Rain. TaYo featuring Me-el (photo below) brought the house down with two numbers, ‘Lego House’ and ‘I Won’t Give Up”.
