Updates on Teachers in Sandals Fellowship
01 November 2013
RECOGNITION NIGHT ON 18 NOVEMBER Bro Sam Roughton, lay chaplain of the Auckland Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy, is inviting current and past members of Teachers in Sandals Fellowship to attend the 3 rd Annual Recognition Night on Monday 18 November 2013 at The Occidental Belgium Beer Café on Vulcan Lane (TBC). In an email message, he said, “The tertiary year is coming to a close and so we must look back and celebrate the year we’ve had in the Teachers in Sandals Fellowship, with our annual Recognition Night! It will be a nice formal end to our year with a couple of toasts to those who have graduated and we will also be joined by Fr. Bernie Thomas and the rest of the Chaplains.”
For 2013, TSF produced three Certified Student Teachers, namely Sis Laura Aprilyana Halim cst, Bro Anthony Safaa Mukhtar cst and Sis Isabella Evania cst; and one Junior Teacher, Bro Trevor Ofamooni jt. To qualify as a Certified Student Teacher, one has to deliver three basic speeches, while a Junior Teacher should have presented five advance speeches. According to Bro Mel, Lead Servant, “It had been a tough year for TSF with the changes in the chaplaincy staff and the graduation of founding members; but we are most grateful to Fr. Bernie and Bro Sam for supporting us in our activities.” Bro Sam asked those who intend to attend to RSVP him by Fri 8th of November. Email: sam@actc.net.nz
