Natália Gromicho | Portugal A gifted painter, in the purest sense, Natália has skillfully created a body of work that is simultaneously lyrical and mysterious, jubilant yet poetic. Employing these paradoxes, she skillfully applies her raw talent into different mediums and styles creating a sense of flux, depth and dominance. Natália’s work takes elemental images, from nature and the landscape to culture and individuals she encounters on her travels, and transforms using dramatic ploys such as contrasts in scale, shifts in focus, irrored reflections, staccato images, and multiple or layered surfaces. Sensory perception for Natália is a spiritual activity, one that leads to a heightened awareness of both nature and culture—this thought process points to a new kind of realism —one that is engaged with the actual processes of life. Yet, it also references the theoretical avant-garde conceptions of deconstruction emerging during Modernism.

Teppo Korte| Finland Nighttime city landscapes inspire the Finnish artist Teppo Korte. He studied architecture and was a painter. Nowadays he combines both disciplines with resin, LED-lights, prints and spray paint. He is enthusiastic about nightlife and landscapes in a city with lighted windows, bars, neon-lights, cinemas and traffic. Lights and shadows. In full light everything is visible, but in the shadows you can hide. This happens simultaneously in the night in a city. The romance and the danger at the same view. Like in a cinema, the movie brings bright colors into the room, but there's still enough darkness for privacy. Korte tries to discover our relationship with artificial lights and darkness. What do we want to show and what do we want to hide.

Alina Levytska| Ukraine When I can’t say anything I just paint; in every work I speak my silence. Sometimes people are too much for me--- too complicated, too unpredictable. Painting in b&w keeps the image simple, and in b&w portraits, the person that I capture sometimes seems to be simpler and more self-assured... like a portrait of an archetype or a character from a noir film. “Smoking” is my third b&w series, but it is the first where each painting represents the culmination of a process: I selected a model; posed and shot photographs in a studio; and then paint based on elements of the photos that capture the feelings I am trying to emulate.

LISBON INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY EXHIBITION Alessandra Bisi| Italy Alessandra Bisi is a painter and gifted poet of form and color, who creates chromatic impressions of her travels around the world and her personal journey as an artist. Observing Alessandra Bisi’s paintings, it is possible to see not an Italian village or an African market, but to feel the textures, the structure and the essence of a moment carefully interpreted. Her paintings have been featured in major European art shows for more than a decade. Since she was little, she was not interested in reproducing reality, but was passionate about drawing the world as she wished it to be.

At a young age she decided to become an artist. Her early skills showed promise and she was admitted to the ACCADEMIA DI BELLE ARTI BRERA, where she studied painting and visual design, focusing on the dynamics of color and geometry. At the academy, she was taught the fundamental techniques of the Renaissance painters and for practice, was challenged to reproduce the style of Caravaggio — not an easy task. She studied the great artists of the last century and developed a fondness for Modigliani, Kandinsky, Picasso, Schiele and Mondrian in particular. She also studied with contemporary artists, while working to refine her own unique style.
