DAYLIGHTING OBSERVATIONS LIGHTING DESIGN OBJECTIVES: • Changing atmosphere from day to night (because during the day the space needs to function as a bakery store and a restaurant for breakfast and lunch but then an open mic night at night) • Comfortable • Outdoor feeling-so it can be casual and comfortable for dining and shopping for baked goods • Outdoor feeling= lighting that simulates natural daylight • Light brick to highlight it as a design feature Needs of the space: • small kitchen • display for baked goods for sale • seating for restauraunt • stage and seating in view of stage; stage can’t disrupt daytime use • staff needs to sell baked goods and serve seated customers easily • daylight
