Letter From Your Lt.G Hey everyone! It is 50 days until DCON starts, so make sure your dues are paid and you register for the convention! You guys should be starting to or in the process of electing your officers for next year, so that they are able to shadow your current officers and learn the responsibilities of each office and to be able to run things smoothly. Please remember that even if they go to DCON and attend the officer forums, it is always a great thing to be able to see how your predecessor did the job.

Reminders and Updates
1. Dues still need to be sent in from most of your clubs. 2. I need to have a phone call with each of the presidents, so please email or text me to set up a time. 3. Keep filling out and sending in your reports. 4. Keep volunteering, just because it is getting close to the end of the Key Club year it doesn’t mean that you guys can’t do service projects!

Article Prompt And Task of the Month 1. From the beginning of the year until now, how has your view of Key Club changed? 2. Explain why it is important to volunteer. 3. What is your club doing to get ready for DCON? 4. Describe an interesting Key Club event that happened this semester. 5. Submit a Humans of Texas Oklahoma! How was your Key Club experience and what is Key Club to you? Submit with a picture of you. You are always free to write about any Key Club-related topic! The articles should each have at least 1 JPG photo and be sent as Microsoft Word documents. Have the author, school name, division, article title, and prompt/whatever topic you choose at the top of the document. Email February articles by April 5th to Editor@tokeyclub.com with the email subject: Division School February Articles.

DCON INFO!! ****DCON REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY CLOSED**** 2019 DCON is set for April 25-28, 2019 IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT DCON You MUST have PAID ALL CLUB DUES. Otherwise you’re not considered an official club by International bylaws. Outstanding Officer/Advisor Awards must be turned in NO LATER than 2 WEEKS prior to DCON. Seating priority is assigned by the order in which Payment is RECEIVED. You must provide 1 chaperone per every 10 students per gender. Or work with another club to reach this requirement. You must book the hotel prior to registering. Best room rates are only available up to 3 weeks prior to convention, so make your reservations early! **HINT** If you don’t have enough students to pay the “Quad” prices, you can work with other clubs to share rooms.
