This is a journey to recognise the kitchen activities in the kampungs of Surabaya. This report is a result of the author’s reflection about the flow of food products that happening in Kampung Plemahan, which is difficult to be separated from external factors.
The author hypothesises about food’s flow in Plemahan by adopting the principle of the human digestive system. In its journey, there are findings that constitute an urban digestive system, which is a random and sophisticated process, rather than in chronological order and simplicity.
This book is a visual narration that divided into two chapters. The first chapter is developed and read as an ordinary book. Meanwhile, the second part will be
compiled as a stretch of paper which crossed with the first chapter on the common storyline. There are some storyline options in the story itself.
