QUICK BREAD LOVE // 1
HEY THERE! Im Stephanie.
WELCOME TO MY CARB HEAVEN.
In case you’re not fully aware by this
point, I love baking. And even more specifically, I love baking bread – yeast bread, quick bread, flatbreads, muffins, scones, biscuits (hello, butter), etc. So when I say I love carbs, it’s no joke. You should see my freezer. Carbs galore. Of course, that doesn’t mean I eat carbs alldayeveryday – I fit in a salad here and there, just so you know – but I find the most enjoyment and comfort in my kitchen when I’m baking bread. That’s how this lovely little cookbook came to be. Quick breads are truly my favorite things to bake in the whole wide world – for one, because they are so easy to bake and so versatile,

and for two, because they have the word “quick” in them and to me that means they get into my hungry belly faster. Just keeping it real. So, what will you find in the pages of this book? Quick breads of all kinds – sweet and savory loaves, muffins, scones, biscuits and even a couple of coffee cakes. And a whole lot of yumminess. What you won’t find are any recipes with hard-tofind ingredients or complicated directions – that’s just not my style. I want you to fall in love with one or more of these recipes so that you, too, bake them incessantly in your kitchen for those you love.
Happy baking!
P.S. HUGE group hug and shout-out to the Girl Versus Dough eCookbook Team on Facebook who helped me put this creation together. If it wasn’t for all of your advice, your insight and your encouragement, I may still be lying on the floor of my kitchen in a puddle of melted butter with batter in my hair. Just kidding. Sort of. I heart you guys.

Tent loaf with foil halfway through baking if peaches are drying out too much or top is browning too quickly. Cool bread 10 minutes in pan, then carefully remove from pan. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. Tip: Use fresh but firm, slightly under-ripe peaches for this recipe. They’ll hold up better to high temperatures in the oven. QUICK BREAD LOVE // 9
